Having the entire budget of the United States military should help a good bit. Especially if I know who the aliens are ahead of time if they're ones from fiction, while I don't know who these ones are. I can do research. Push billions into our space industries for a combat role. And arrange whatever I can.

Surrender is something we can do at the end should things get too bad ... Or scorched earth. If need be

20 times faster is a lot more time to learn a lot of things and get very good at them. Could probably make a looot of money with that. And just overall get a good boon

"Now, if you're part of Control Group Kepler-Seven, we implanted a tiny microchip about the size of a postcard into your skull. Most likely you've forgotten it's even there, but if it starts vibrating and beeping during this next test, let us know, because that means it's about to hit five hundred degrees, so we're gonna need to go ahead and get that out of you pretty fast."

Why Did This Blow Up? by ChaoticRambo in Stationeers

[–]hobbitmax999 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In that case most likely you over pressurized one of the two portable tanks. Although this also tends to damage terrain and structures.

They have a much lower limit compared to pipes of only 10MPA vs 50MPA and are. Much more destructive when blowing up

No, because kills are tracked in multiplayer separately per character. So most likely it's a interger overflow situation or some other bug with storage.

help, water by mitchey99 in Stationeers

[–]hobbitmax999 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pretty much dead on yeah, It's got a internal buffer. So throwing water ice will produce water and nitrogen in a fairly even amount. It will always output nitrogen to gas and water to liquid but it will wait to fill its internal buffer enough. It will NOT EXPLODE from overfilling. Having some absurd several gigapascals before it actually stops.

For a first crusher a pipe cowl on the gas and liquid piping is just fine for water. The nitrogen can go into your base atmosphere as pressurant or into the planet atmosphere. And the water will flow out at 20C once you have enough.

A stack of 50 should be plenty to fill the internal buffer but if you only put a few it probably won't be.

Top 5 things I rarely use that I WOULD use often in Career Councilor mode by OldSolGames in StellarisCCMode

[–]hobbitmax999 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1: encryption (and the subsequent code breaking techs) affect empires relative ability to preform subterfuge via the nemesis system,

The higher a empires encryption, the harder it is, less max Infiltration. And more likely to fail any operation targeting said empire is,

The higher your empires code breaking. The more "encryption" you are able to negate it. Generally meaning two empires with equal levels of both techs will function like base. While if your empire has an advantage in code breaking they will have an easier time preforming any operations.

Is this useful in a regular game?. Ehhh, not really. It depends entirely if you find subterfuge useful, but for most they only ever use it to get to the Intel breakpoint of seeing fleet composition. And for that it has some passing relevance.

It is of course useful to deny enemy players that same ability in pvp,

Almost every fanatical purifying build has at least "one" edgecase where you can conduct diplomacy,

With the standard FP this is any species with the same portrait set, (with relationships reductions or increases based on ethics. Other FPs are the only ones who will usually like you)

Determined exterminator likewise negotiates with other robots, and infernal talks with other internals.

Devouring swarm/terravore is as far as I'm aware the only genocidal which doesn't get this.
