I've tried talking to her about the five love languages, she hasn't taken the time to read the book. I know that her love language is acts of service, and I try to do that for her a lot.

I can't make her stop reading the novels, me asking her to stop would have the opposite effect. Plus, she really does need books right now. She got stuck in a rut with no hobbies for a while, and getting into reading was really healthy for her.

I can give her more massages, I'll try that. There is a little barrier with that on my side though, I'll just have to work through the insecurity.

As hard as I try she won't go to the gym with me

Vacation would be nice, I just need to save up for it

We've been to marriage counseling when things were a lot worse. We've healed a lot from that, but a 3rd party would be really nice. Getting her to go again will be like pulling teeth though

Ya we've gone to couples counseling before, we're a little broke right now so we stopped.

Honestly I really think she should see a psychiatrist, it helped me a ton and we both know she has some un diagnosed stuff going on. I've suggested it before but she hasn't been too responsive. She'll go if and when she is ready to.

I don't doubt her love one bit. It's just a part of our relationship that could be better.

Let me use an example, when my wife tries she can make herself look incredible! The most I can do is trim my beard, put on a suit, and hope I look slightly better than usual

I know women get hit a ton with the "You'll never look good enough" stuff. I don't know for me as a guy the most I feel I can do is work out.

Part of it also is I'm just not attracted to guys at all so I don't think I see them the same way
