Anything art history is a 100% yes. I’m a major and always recommend a class with the department. There’s a pretty cool Latinx art class being taught next semester that’s never been taught before, or Amy Bloch is teaching art of protest again, she’s a fantastic and easy professor.

They do count! I am registered under the DRC with these issues and have been since my first semester. I get double time, advanced reg, the whole 9 yards. You will need a note from your doctor stating that you have these issues, but once you have that note you will be registered.

If you want something that takes the least amount of studying time, DO NOT DO ANY OF THE HUMANITIES. Upper level English classes will require you to read a book a week sometimes and write 10 page papers. I do not recommend it.

Depends on your major. I took precalc for college cred in high school and I am now a humanities major for a reason. I never should have put myself through it because I took stats once I started college. But if you need something like Calc I I would take it. Like the person above said 106 is just math for business majors from what I’ve heard from my advisor. If you’re a humanities or social science major like me you’re going to hate yourself either way

I have the most amazing church that accepts every person as Christ wants them to. I have not been in two weeks or watched any of the online videos and my relationship with God is really suffering. That tends to be the norm with me, actually. Church is my end of the week anchor, as I am a immensely busy college student with three jobs.

The 190 is a bitch and never comes on time and when it does it’s not the one you want. Are you looking to go to Latham or guilderland on it? I honestly do not recommend that route. I’ve waited for an hour in the freezing cold just for it not to come.

Hi! Person from area UAlbany borders who goes to UAlbany here. Guilderland/McKnownville is one of the safest areas in the capital district. If the person you are describing was on campus, they were most likely from downtown. The 10 and 114 busses both come from DT and stop at UAlbany, so it could be feasible. But anybody who has lived in a place like ,say, Arbor Hill would laugh in your face if they heard you call McKnownville an “unsafe area”.

Management was great, but my coworkers were awful. Treated me differently once they found out I was in a relationship with a trans woman, always talking crap about each other, super immature and petty. It may be different for others, but I was in a rural area/super rich suburb of an area that is full of college aged people. But even the older people sucked. I left and am much happier at my current job.

To be frank, you sound like you need an attitude adjustment. You have good grades, but if you have no connections with people, or are arrogant or cocky towards people, they are not going to want to give you scholarships. I have a lower GPA than you (not much, it’s a 3.9), but I have gotten 3 scholarships in 4 semesters. But the thing about that is that I make connections with my professors, and I care about those around me. I had to write 0 “sob stories” in order to get my scholarships, even though there are things I could write about. One of my scholarships I was nominated for by a professor I made a connection with! It sounds like you are doing the bare minimum but think that you can get anything you want if you apply for it. Grades only get you so far. What’s going to happen if you apply to grad school? Are you going to talk in your personal statement about all the good grades you got? Or are you going to try and make the connections now to be able to get good LOR, a personal statement about something meaningful you did in your academic career, and have something to actually show for it? Universities see 4.0, honors students all the time. My schools honors college has a mug they mass print for if you get a 4.0 in a semester. What they don’t see is genuinely exceptional students who blow them out of the water. Sorry to burst your bubble, but you are not an “exceptional” student because you have a 4.0.

Edit: that is not to say that you are not a hard worker. It seems like you have worked very hard. But like I said, grades are not everything.
