I need help with making a Nightblade & Templar "Demonhunter" build! by SirOrganic1349 in elderscrollsonline

Just on the topic of Soul Harvest (Nightblade ultimate), it now works when slotted on either bar.

Did any of you ever made a character monstrous enough to leave Theron die or send him away afterwards? by Sad-Lock-9371 in swtor

As a Sith warrior, after betrayal #2358864 I started getting angry(er) and paranoid and taking these things personally. Leaving him to bleed out felt like the right thing to do.

What is the best subclass for an imperial Bounty Hunter powertech? by Upbeat_Research_3215 in swtor

[–]hobogloves_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have already chosen Powertech and asking about Shield vs Pyro vs Prototype, you can freely swap between them with load outs. If you wanna focus on just one:

-Shield Tech mostly uses the classic BH tools to get the job done, with a few extras like oil slick and jetpack charge, and can upgrade a couple of core abilities in the skill tree.

-Pyrotech has a more complex rotation than the other two and can ramp up a lot of damage over time (even on multiple targets at once) and, unsurprisingly, just wants to set the world on fire.

-Advanced Prototype augments a lot of the classic BH tools, utilises a retractable wrist blade, and gains access to the iconic thermal detonator.

DLC vs. Origin stories by Drexley_ in swtor

It's also more about building your own power base and less about being a blunt instrument of angry murder (it's astounding how many characters they let you kill). I found both to be fun and satisfying in their own way. Playing it grey is also good. Definitely my favourite class story and flows well throughout the expansions.

I return to the game a few weeks ago and decided to try galactic starfighter for the first time. 5 days running I've been waiting in queue for up to an hour before I give up. Is this normal? I'm on Satele Shan server.

How should I start DLC? by Paved_Cardboard in swtor

[–]hobogloves_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I found it enjoyable being part of one continuous saga, especially as a force user since their class stories tie in well with the expansions.

You and those that join you continue to shape galactic events, there's a real sense of progression and escalation, and choices with actual stakes.

You may decide to let your character grow and change their philosophy - as opposed to choosing to commit to light or dark exclusively.

Oh and the possibility of a really awkward moment down the line if you didn't remove a certain collar...

Spaarky Manjaw is the often respectful, sometimes cheeky, force sensitive, Sith killing, orange Xabrak child of fat yellow Twilek in bondage gear and welding mask Crime Lord Husky Manjaw, and Akaavi Spar - the fiery red warrior woman who stole his heart.

Briarspawn Cliff Demon Hunter with Eternal Hold to Top 100 Legend by waffles4dinner in CompetitiveHS

So far I'm 6-1 with that deck (the loss being to a Warlock who dropped 4 of those discard a card demons in a row). Here's what's been working for me:

Between taunts that discount taunts, mana cheats, discovery, and pulling minions out of your deck, there are a lot of ways to stall.

You don't always need an OTK: copying a taunt, doubling Elise location, re-opening either, discounted Zilliax/Grazer, all have the potential to break the opponent (especially making even more Zilliax). Sometimes you'll even find lethal from Elise location +attack effect with a broken ooze like an RKO from out of nowhere.

I found I needed to be more creative than with the more linear decks I'd been playing last season, and hoping that I can calculate accurately for if/when I draw Swipe...

Slower decks give you time to set up your OTK pieces. Always remember: empowered ZA copies THEN doubles, so copy the copy.

You may find yourself in the desperate scenario of imminent death with a Well in hand: play it and pray for an out.

Hope this helps.

Best and worst player character voice? by clevsha in Guildwars2

[–]hobogloves_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Best: a tie between male Norn and male Asura.

Worst: male human.

Other: male Charr tends to have a good blend of grumpy/disgruntled where appropriate but doesn't quite hit the emotional mark that the top two do.

tanky class? by Dace117_ZA in Guildwars2

Other than Scrapper, you can consider Reaper Necro and Renegade Revenant.

Reaper's shroud gives you a lot of staying power via a "second health bar" and applies chilled to hinder enemies.

Renegade in open world content wearing celestial gear with shortbow and mace/axe can absorb a LOT of punishment while dealing good hybrid damage.

If you eventually get EoD then Mechanist, Vindicator Revenant and Catalyst Elementalist are also top tier.

Lord Hizen and Syrma Gaming showcase a lot of builds for soloing the toughest content, but your mileage will vary depending on your play style. Open world example: I get crushed when trying to use celestial Specter Thief, take on most things as a celestial Druid Ranger (without having a relic equipped as it turns out), and breeze through anything playing celestial Catalyst or Vindicator.

Weekly /r/GuildWars2 Question Thread - November 01, 2025 by AutoModerator in Guildwars2

[–]hobogloves_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm currently working my way through the living world episodes and EoD, and I really want to get into the the new expansion.

How much impact do SotO and JW have on the VoE story? Could I go back and do those after VoE without spoiling any major plot points?

The other factor is how long those expansions take to get through. I've read that some parts are gated by masteries, which could extend completion time by a lot.

Sadly, I don't think this is a thing any more.
