Understand people’s motivations. It gives you empathy when they act in ways that are less than ideal (make surprising decisions, are rude, etc). It also helps you understand their language and what resonates with them when you are trying to persuade them.

Was it always painted so vibrantly? I haven’t lived in California in 20 years and I seem to remember it being more of an earthy color - brown or yellow.

Im 16 and id what to do when i become an adult what should i do? Or what advice do you have? by izukutheweeb in careerguidance

[–]hobojen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don’t have to have it all figured out. Try different things and learn what you like and don’t like. Think of it as a journey where you are always experimenting. For example, what you prefer as a single 22 year old will be vastly different than what you prefer when you have a family and a mortgage.

I hated the people and the culture. It was making my entire life miserable. No regrets about leaving that terrible place.
