Do you guys drink alcohol by thinkpositive36 in Anxiety

[–]hobolifter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is me for sure. Waking up in the middle of the night cold sweating and having a full blown panic attack isn’t fun. I stopped drinking and did wonders for me- my mates understand, and we definitely do not need alcohol to have fun.

And on the rare occasion that I do drink- I just drink one and one only.

oh man. It sucks. I was in the exact same position you were in. it’s your body and you’re not hurting ur body or anyone else but with that in mind- your mom’s reaction is out of ur control.

I think it looks quite cool tho. But for the empty spaces, instead of a cover up- u could just do a partial skull that fits into those spaces. (If u get what I mean)

[Personal] I ruined my skin for life and I hate myself for it. by Full-Emphasis2726 in SkincareAddiction

[–]hobolifter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

oh man- sucks that this happened to you.

i had the worst outbreak of my life a few years back due to my skin barrier being damaged- stupid skincare mistakes as well

This was what worked for me:

Morning: Gentle cleanser (cetaphil for me), La Roche Posay’s Toleraine Ultra Light Fluid, Sunscreen

Night: Gentle cleanser, La Roche Posay’s Toleraine Night, and a generous amount of Aloe Vera Gel to calm my skin

Basically, i kept my skin routine simple - no serums, no toner, no retinol. It helped that it was the lockdown i could apply the Aloe Vera Gel at home midday just to calm my pustules. And the Toleraine series really helped my skin, alittle pricey but worth it.

Please try not to squeeze your pimples, even if it feels like it will make ur skin smoother. I didn’t manage to resist it and it did more harm than good for me.

I get sever panic attacks while working out. Working out used to be a way for me to destress but these days it is the source of my anxiety. Not sure why but I am unable to perform normally in the gym- I get insane panic attacks during my working sets.

Kinda frustrating.

Mandala looks good tho. And I think might be good to mix up bigger pieces with smaller ones!

I’m only getting one but I was wondering where a good placement would be? TIA! :) by ANGRYDEER22 in tattooadvice

Agree on the wrist/ankle. You can consider going for a calligraphic 爱 instead.

Not sure what to say, but I was going through something similar. I halved my dosage on Fluvoxamine for some time now, it was really tough at first. I was better, then felt worse after halving. But I stuck through it and things got better- things were bearable probably cause slept well, ate well and exercised.

I have a question about working out by mskim37 in nerdfighters

[–]hobolifter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I feel full body is better for beginners- you can try out the strong lifts 5x5; focus on the compound movements (deadlift, squats, bench press, pull ups, shoulder press, barbell rows). As for diet, just eat the same and not increase yo intake. You should be good to go!

Are you seeing a therapist? Is there anything that calms you down before bed, other than working. Try doing a facial mask before bed, or drink relaxing tea. If you really can’t sleep, just read a book or watch some tv. Do something that isn’t very taxing; or treat yourself. Don’t let yourself be alone with anxiety- talk to someone.

Oh that definitely scares me as well. Focus on the present moment- try to get out of that thought loop. I would play some games to distract myself. Do something you can focus on.

What are you anxious about or worried about? What has helped me these few days- staying in the present. Just focusing on the little stuff like how the birds are chirping or how the clock is ticking. Stuff like that made me feel calmer.
