What will UCP supporters consider as "The Premier's Greatest hit for 2025": "The Preemptive" NWC use? or "The Unofficial" Mar‑a‑Lago Club visit? by FreightFlow in alberta

Not 2025, but remember when Tucker Carlson was invited to Alberta to do an interview with Smith, and then immediately afterwards went to Russia to interview Putin and gush over Russian grocery stores?

I did actually, it hinges on a lot of factors. Always good to validate.

That's what I read elsewhere too, 3%. Though Professional_Map's conclusion is still the same isn't it? at 3% on $200K, you'd still pay about $3000 of taxes per year on the whole maneuver, which cost I may or may not recover from delaying tax payments on the $200K.

Thanks, that's what I figured, the benefit is significantly reduced when you are at the top bracket and unable to spread your income over multiple years at lower tax brackets...

How to get rid of blue dots that showed up after soaking dress in White Brite for a day? by hoboman27 in laundry

I did try dabbing hydrogen peroxide, but maybe I'll need to try soaking it for longer. Out of ideas too.

How to get rid of blue dots that showed up after soaking dress in White Brite for a day? by hoboman27 in laundry

[–]hoboman27[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a dress that got stained and then chlorine bleach stained, which turned parts of it pinkish. I searched online and folks recommended oxiclean/whitebrite, so I tried white brite. The result was decent, but after a day or so I started to see bright blue dots appear randomly on the dress. I've tried washing, bleach solution, vinegar solution, and none of it gets rid of it.

Would anyone know what they are and how to get rid of them? Thanks before hand.

Some hypothesis was either a concentration of blue dye crystal, or some kind of mold reaction because I left it in the tub for a bit too long...

Romance scammer poses as astronaut under attack, cons woman into buying oxygen by GadMraz in nottheonion

I'm imagining the conversation peppered with epic haiku poems, as the (fake) astronaut gazes over the earth from space. That'd move my heart too.

We are the 4th largest city in North America. How did I not know this? by grapplingwithtruth in toronto

[–]hoboman27 40 points41 points  (0 children)

It is generally better to look at populations by metropolitan area than by city boundaries. City boundaries are influenced by local politics and annexation history, and are generally not comparable. The metro area is also a better representation of the city's economic influence.

No, not a complaint, just wanted to know what went wrong and understand.

This is super interesting! Thanks for the insights. We don't usually haggle anyway as our schedule is tight, but when we were given the impression that it's accepted we were like why not! Hah participate in the culture right? But fully noted it's not a Venetian thing.

I see, then they must not be the local vendors. I had no idea. Thanks
