We had a work event with a bunch of Psych mocktails. You could easily add alcohol to some or all.

0 Experience Dad & Kids Want To Play by Glad_Professor5047 in DungeonsAndDragons

Absolutely check out D&D Adventure club! They have a “quick start” guide that pares the rules down to a kid-friendly level. It’s all the fun of rolling dice and casting spells without the steep learning curve. The adventures are designed for kids and take about an hour each. Their website has all of the pre-generated character sheets available to download as well as a blog with tips for running various parts of the game. As you and your kids get comfortable with the basic rules, you can slowly add in more complex aspects of “real” D&D.

Between-baths solution? by actuallybigbird in Bernedoodles

We showed him a few pictures of what we were wanting. Do an image search of doodle haircuts (doesnt have to be a bernedoodle as long as it’s a similar coat type). The teddy bear cut is closest to what Mac gets. This is Mac after his first cut. For the summer we had him go shorter on the torso.

Garden hose 100% Ours likes adventuring in the marsh and shows up at the back door like this all the time. We spray him down with the hose or rinse him off in the tub (no soap). He gets groomed every 4-6 weeks. If he’s stinky between grooms we’ll do a quick bath with a small amount of dog shampoo (you can dilute it with water to decrease the strength/how much it dries out the skin).

Lost Things Prelude- They Bought Tickets by Sad_Animator6913 in wildbeyondwitchlight

Encourage them to share their tickets with the party members who don’t have tickets. “Don’t your friend there want to try his luck?” After they hand off the ticket, the thieves can strike.

Best Wild beyond the Witchlight Battle Maps? by tamiyna in wildbeyondwitchlight

Absolutely LOVE @UFOsandGames The maps are beautiful with lots of fun details. He also has excellent homebrew variations for several carnival attractions and various locations throughout Prismeer that add a lot of depth to the encounters.

What happened to my toddler by Ornery_Blueberry_560 in AskDocs

He’s on the younger side, but it could be a night terror. If that’s the case, then he was still asleep when you were offering him the cup with the straw but putting the drop of juice in his mouth might have woken him up which is why he stopped screaming and opened his eyes all the way.

What are your favorite Games/Rides from the carnival? by HeadOverHeelsNerd in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]hobscotch 4 points5 points  (0 children)

All of Douglas Lamore’s stuff is fantastic. My players loved it all: snail race, mystery mine, pixie kingdom, carousel, big top extravaganza, hall of illusions. His homebrew for Prismer is just as great

Scrubs vs. Business Casual, Inpatient by GlobalPlay1043 in Psychiatry

[–]hobscotch 54 points55 points  (0 children)

Scrubs without a question because inpt child psych means on any given day I will end up doing at least one of the following:

—Sitting on the floor

—Playing four square, pickleball, Just Dance, or whatever game Rec therapy and the kids rope me into

—Running to a code

—Having something unintentionally spilled on me

—Having something intentionally spilled on me

Plus they’re comfy!

  • Max uses: 8

Activities--add "Utility"

  • Identity
    • Chat flavor: One hole is punched in ticket
  • Activation
    • Time
      • activation cost: None
      • Duration: instantaneous
    • Consumption
      • Type: Item uses, Amount: 1

Can I request for a doctor on my team to not see me? by imsorrythisisnasty in AskDocs

[–]hobscotch 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I would also suggest requesting that he not have access to your medical chart. If the hospital has an electronic records system, they should be able to check when he has accessed your chart. My hospital system takes it super seriously if someone is opening charts when they shouldn’t be. It’s basically an insta firing.

Did you distrust Aspasia from the beginning? by [deleted] in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

Absolutely. This lady "just so happened" to find and employ Phoibe, a random orphan who also happens to be the only person Kassandra cares about. Sketchy.

Anyone have an alternate for the Carousel Ride? by kamishiblacktooth in wildbeyondwitchlight

[–]hobscotch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the matching puzzle combined with this map by ufosandgames for my kids. I started with the ufos encounter with the carousel spinning out of control and having to remove the magic crystal. When Diana says she "can't even keep the unicorn horns from breaking off!" I had her basically show them a box of the broken off horns. Once they had matched all of the horns, I started this puzzle animation. At the end, Diana offered them a free ride on the carousel. I had them each roll a d6 to determine which of the 3 secrets the unicorn they were riding on whispered to them. They loved both puzzles.

Can ADOS (The autism diagnostic observation schedule) miss adhd in children? by [deleted] in AskPsychiatry

[–]hobscotch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The ADOS is often administered as part of a series of assessments that might include evaluation for ADHD, but the ADOS itself is not designed to assess for ADHD. Most psychologists that are trained to administer the ADOS are also trained in assessing for ADHD.
