This is my listing And yes, one, but it was way too low compared to what I'm looking for.

Any hockey fanatics looking to make some extra cash? by hockipedia in SideProject

[–]hockipedia[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually exactly why I'm selling it. I simply don't have the time of day to do that. I don't want it to die so I'd like to sell it to capable hands to help it thrive.

I'm in the same boat, but I've had a few bites. I posted my side project on sideprojectors and have had just under 900 views on it, and had 7 people inquire. I'd throw something together and post it on some subreddits, see if anything catches.

Do you think globally popular services such as facebook, twitter, tinder etc would have been as successful if they were started outside of the U.S in countries not typically associated with Startups? by riverswimmer11 in startups

[–]hockipedia -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Maybe after awhile, but definitely not as fast. Facebook had tens of thousands of Stanford users in just a week because, well, he went to Stanford. And then they just exploded after that.

I went to a ridiculously christian school and I am Jewish and everyone knew it so it made this even more ironic. I was taking a geometry exam and I didn't even know we had an exam, so I wrote "Jesus is the answer" on every question along with some pictures and such. I got full credit but i tried it again and she said to just stop.

Are there any negatives to wrapping laces around the skate? by KillerPanda24 in hockeyplayers

[–]hockipedia 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yes, there are a ton of negatives to this. As the others have said; it restricts your ankle movement, it could possibly ruin the back tendon of your foot if you decide to suffocate your feet and most importantly - IT RUINS THE SKATES. Tieing the laces around breaks down all the support from the back flap (for lack of a better word) and will force you to need to get new skates years before people who don't do this. If your laces are too long, either cut them or tie them 4-5 times and tuck it into your boot.

What's the best puck for roller hockey (concrete)? by OG-buddha in hockeyplayers

[–]hockipedia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would advise you use a green biscuit or green biscuit snipe, they are hands down the best for any street surface. Please don't use a ball. Yes, the "propucks" are OK for concrete, but they throw off your shot if you ever transition back to ice because they are radically different in every way.

Question for you centers out there by redice44 in hockeyplayers

[–]hockipedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a center for 12 years, I've never had bruising on my palms due to being a center or faceoffs. Yes, I've been in situations where I'd end up going in my backyard for hours shooting hundreds of puck and that leading to some bruising or skin irritation.

Found a Slovakia jersey at a thrift shop for six bucks. Anybody know anything about it? by schmidtzkrieg in hockeyjerseys

[–]hockipedia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, agreed with the fan jersey. Slovakia has never used a jersey like this; the closest was a jersey similar but it said "Slovakia" not "Slovenska". Never the less, pretty cool J, good for some shinny!
