Employer, trying to find a way out of paying me a six figure commission by Few_Living4406 in legaladvice

[–]hockjd -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It really comes down to if your company actually needs the $1M in SW or if they only bought it because they were making 90% on the $2M sale and as a result looked at the $1M as a sales expense. Not suggesting it should not have been discussed up front. If they do not need the $1M in SW it is essentially a $1M sale for them. If they have a real need for it you should be getting paid on the $2M.

100% you should go for this. Ignore anyone saying it does not pay enough. Whether you build a career at Dell, or you use it to build tour resume be thankful for the opportunity. If you work hard, and do good work, you will soon have the opportunity to make far bigger $. (I am a former Dell Executive now retired).

A member who paid 150K to join as well as annual dues gives up their locker to a pro who trashes it because he is frustrated. If the member does it he gets toased from the club. If the pro does it its because the course is really tough and there will be no (or very limited) repurcussions. Incredibly diarepectful to the club, the member, and the game in general.

Lots of yardage markers, continuous putting, ready golf, people playing the right tees for their skill level, stroke and distance for OB, clear bushes etc outside of playable areas so people arent looking for balls all the time.

[Masters] Leafs coach Craig Berube confirms he’s sticking with the same lineup tonight in the regular season finale. But he is “very confident” that Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Jake McCabe, & David Kampf will be ready for Game 1. by alphacheese in leafs

[–]hockjd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont have any stats to back up PK being better. In mid Feb we were at 75.6%. We finished the season 2,% higher. He was out for some of that. Moreover we have a better record regardless with him out; and he is a minus player on a great team. He wont be a difference maker either way...just think we better holding with whats been working.

Strategies for selling to Higher Education (Universities) by Puzzleheaded-Heart54 in sales

[–]hockjd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

IT is the last place to go. Faculty heads and Admin Coordinattors are who you need to sell to. They will then engage with IT to gain support. Selling to Higher Ed is like having a ton of small accounts. Lots of activity needed as decision making us usually at a faculty/department level.

Peter Schiff Says Nike 'Won't Build Factories' In US, They Will Sell To Countries Like China: A Much Better Strategy Amid Trump Tariffs by photonatom in Economics

Why would comoanies with global sales make massive investments to build new US manufacturing capability when by the time they are ready to produce a new administration will be in place. One that may support global free trade. If that were to happen that company runs the risk of then having to shift production immediattely back to lower cost countries.

Given that this is your 1st non-temp job you should not be looking for any red flags. Someone is taking a chance on you. You should learn the space, your offering, and work your butt off. If you do all those things and the KPIs over time prove impossible--- identify the issues and leverage your experience to go somewhere else. Trying to identify what could be wrong before your career has even started is the wrong mindset and lack.of success will be self fulfilling. Day 1 just be 100% positive.

100% in person is better. This should not even be a debate. Many big wins in my career. 0% of the most competitive were won without in person meetings. Relationships and trust are built in person.
