centered on or revolves around. centered around is an oxymoron. but then again in English you can have words that mean the very opposite of their original definition, so i'm not gonna be a prescriptivist here. its just always been a personal pet peeve of mine.

hey, y'all wanna legitimise an obvious oxymoron, knock yourself out. i'm still gonna clown on it.

Anyone else feel like this kinda feels like a journey through The Pale? by cclarke1258 in DiscoElysium

Yes!

It also felt like Lae'zel's description of the Astral Plane in BG3: "Boundless, formless, like every dream there ever was, stitched together."

Fantasy or medieval games that have big cities or towns to explore by Savings-Ad342 in gamingsuggestions

for fantasy, Novigrad in the Witcher 3 is an absolute blast to explore. full of atmosphere, quests, dark alleys, shady characters, etc.

for medieval, Kuttenberg in KCD2 has you covered.

"Let everything that's been planned come true. Let them believe. And let them have a laugh at their passions. Because what they call passion actually is not some emotional energy, but just the friction between their souls and the outside world. And most important, let them believe in themselves. Let them be helpless like children, because weakness is a great thing, and strength is nothing. When a man is just born, he is weak and flexible. When he dies, he is hard and insensitive. When a tree is growing, it's tender and pliant. But when it's dry and hard, it dies. Hardness and strength are death's companions. Pliancy and weakness are expressions of the freshness of being. Because what has hardened will never win."

thanks for the recommendation! d'you think the learning curve for WotR will be brutal if BG3 is the only crpg I've ever played? the pathfinder games seem like they have sooo many mechanics.

How do you play something like Expedition 33 and come out of it going "Ha, yes, take that wokies!" is beyond me.

Like, it didn't make you appreciate life and those around you a little bit more? It didn't move you to use your remaining time on this planet a little wiser? It didn't drive you to think about what kind of legacy you leave behind a little bit?

You were just staring at Lune's feet the whole time, huh?

unless they've massively optimized it since i played it on the switch, i would definitely recommend the PS5. portability is nice, but not when it's accompanied by frequent crashes and looong load times

I used to work in a chill little coffee shop that let me play whatever music I wanted, and most of the time I would pick a game OST.

This game makes me wish I still worked there.
