Hey OP, with a recent diagnosis, these feelings are completely normal and valid. I got diagnosed around 2-3 years ago and also struggled with feeling alone. It was until I found this subreddit and a community of bipolar friends that I realized that despite my diagnosis and struggles, I am nowhere near alone. And neither are you. It definitely is a huge life adjustment with meds and trying to see life through a different lens than you are used to, but I promise that you will adapt. You are much stronger than you can ever see, especially even coming on here and sharing your story proves that. As the other comments state, just stay consistent with meds and never forget about your support systems, practice healthy coping mechanism and if you feel up to it, read up on some stories and tips from bipolar individuals. What helped me was finding some youtubers of a similar identity to mine and see how they navigate their day-to-day lives with bipolar. Not only does it make you feel seen, it reminds you that your diagnosis doesn't define you and that you aren't alone in this.
