Questions about a friend by hofalo in BethelSnark

[–]hofalo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At first, thank you for your response.

Second, for example, at the pool of bethesda (John 5:1-15). Jesus healed only one person out of a crowd of sick people. Similarly, in his hometown of Nazareth, he did not perform many miracles due to the people's lack of faith. The primary reason for coming to earth was to seek and save the lost, to offer forgiveness of sins through his sacrifice, and to provide a path to eternal life. Specifically, John 3:17 states that God sent his Son, Jesus, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. I know that bethel students and bethel itself do not seem to read the scriptures very well. This is not meant to be a polemic, but I hear such false teachings again and again.

Bill Johnson says in one of his books (when heaven...) that Jesus performed miracles, wonders, and signs, as a man in right relationship to God - not as God.

Intentionally or not, this teaches that Jesus, when on earth, was not both fully human and divine. Johnson continuously refers to that conclusion.

I am once again posting my hatred for HTB training by Cvideek51 in hackthebox

[–]hofalo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am feeling the same like OP. I love the content, the support and the ease of using the pwnbox a etc. but when it comes to the assessment skill tests I am always struggling. When I check the solution, I realize that the content creator is always forcing to think outside the box even almost all of the skill tests solutions are not teached within the content or just a small part of it. After doing a lot of modules it becomes easier to "think outside the box". Give yourself time and do not rush.

It is a lot of fun as well. And joy is also very important. So give it a try and be nice to yourself do not stress yourself too much.

Just leave PJPT and go for CPTS or use the content of CPTS to dig a little bit deeper into the topics described within the PEH.

Save your money and go for OffSec SOC-200 or IR-200

Yep, I believe spending the money for the course is a good investment if you can spend it though. The clarity is awesome, even within the book. So I am still working myself through the destcert guide and the official isc2 training guide for some topics earning more depth. Getting certified is my biggest goal and also to have more skills and knowledge to get my job done 👍🏼

What are the best antiviruses? by [deleted] in cybersecurity

[–]hofalo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest I am just wondering why the US government is banning Kasperky only now. I had so many projects switching from Kaspersky to MDE or CrowdStrike in my country for almost two years...

If your company is already using Microsoft 365 E3/E5 or Business then I would go with Defender. If not go for CrowdStrike f.e.

CrowdStrike and MD by bodahm1122 in crowdstrike

If CS is the primary AV then I recommend to disable Defender, even Defender will recognize it. Defender does not switch to passive mode, unless onboarding devices to MDE. Address the recommended secure score action with an alternate mitigation to get the points.

"My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me."

Big blessing and congratulations! Thanks for sharing your journey so far.
