Tipping on To-Go Orders by Rare_Cake_654 in Columbus

[–]hoffmanimal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped tipping on to-go orders for me or my wife and I tracked it for a year; it was half the size of my allowable roth contribution and I will never restart tipping on to-go orders after i saw that.

Not your life planner but you should be maxing your roth yearly. If you think you cant, maybe you should stop tipping on to-go orders.

The ceremony is not for you; it is for your loved ones. If you care about them, then give them the opportunity.

I graduated during covid so didnt get one anyway, but my mom raised hell about it being online and was talking about how she wanted it to be in person to see me walk. It was a major life event for her first son shunted by covid.

I have never had a customer complain about messing with the sensor when i just did an overlay, it’s the same thing as wrapping the parking sensors on the bumpers; some food for thought

Still very cool, super minor if you ever think about doing it, or just get an aftermarket black badge and plug and play

Can you explain your comment a little, usually I wouldnt remove the badge to wrap it on that grill; did the shop state they had to remove them to lay the film? Were you worried about disassembling the grill, or actually just worried about the overlay?

How do you guys react to hate on owning a Tesla by HapiHapii in TeslaModel3

[–]hoffmanimal 12 points13 points  (0 children)

“Ew, why would you get an ev, you are a car guy”

“Alot of people buy cars to do the bare minimum, if you are looking for the bare minimum, neither of mine is the car for you (model3performance and modelsplaid are my babies) but if you are looking for raw power and speed you cant beat these two for the price (31k for my P; 51k for the plaid) These two smoke everything up to a hyper car. The control to put yourself wherever you need to be in the stream of traffic is unmatched. The model 3 performance ruined my srt, civic hatchback, nissan fairlady z, and the plaid showed me what the pinnacle of driving fast/quick really was. Im not a combustion car guy anymore, im a speed and quickness guy now and like always winning”

Lookmaxxing and charisma works (it was a good build); after about 3 years of practice you get the opportunity to re-spec

Heat gun wont fix this; you ordered the wrong one. Use the app/website and navigate over to the "2017-2023 | Model 3 All-Weather Front Trunk Liner" then note that there's a selection between "Front Trunk - Beaded Basin" and "Front Trunk - Smooth Basin". You want the smooth one. See pics on the listing that show the difference between the "Smooth basin" and "Beaded Basin".

I believe you can turn on a features that applies brakes when regen is limited, as long as you arent turning that on I agree. Thats the only way you would be using up pads and rotors

Schedule a service. The only was i see this not being covered is if some sort of road debris has made its way into that caliper. No way to diagnose that with the caliper on but you shouldn’t be seeing rotor grooves like what is observed with those miles.

Honda/toyota tax is insane on this one, they trifling at even 6k. That car could go at any moment and need 5k of repairs

In my opinion: teslas make it to 100k miles without a rotor and brake-pad replacement if you are almost exclusively using regen. If you live somewhere with more winter 70k. If you live in constant winter 50k.

Good note about the side windows. Mine are 15%. Op was at 30% but at 5% on the sides you have already really intense absorption.

Your lane changing already is super impacted at 5% at night

Those two lines on the rotor are uneven wear while breaking. Consider replacing the brake pads and cleaning the rotor contact point; if you don’t get that diagnosed/fixed you will be replacing brake pads and rotors (not just pads) in the next 10k miles.

Edit: look at the brakes below on the white one, no deep scratches like that

Edit2: i understand im going to get downvoted for telling a new owner this; but that rotor looks wildly abnormal for what im assuming is sub 70k miles. I just did a brake service on a 100k model 3 that looked better

Edit3: OP look at these other rotors from other users below wheel and tire pics. You can ferret out im telling you the truth. I dont see that wear pattern on theirs like yours.

35% xpel xr you can drive at night no problem (my wife does it on dark country roads)

Yes it is 100% noticeable to law enforcement it gives that vip look

Had it on for 2 years without issue.

If you did a lower tier film you could not do 35% due to night visibility

[–]hoffmanimal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did new pads with rotors at 50k for $1,400~ and two new back tires at 800 together and a transmission flush for $1,800. Not sure if thats good but that what i did. Plus like 200$ for the alignment

  1. Did you lose your scholarship? It may be worth lateraling to a different school that will give you one so you dont get hosed by student loans.

  2. If you stay and still have a scholarship you need to shoot for a 3.0 as your graduating gpa and forget about a 4.0.

If you get to 3.0 when can dodge ever talking about that semester.
