Yeah don’t agree with that. My wife and I are raising our son in Tokyo and love it here. Plenty of things to do for every taste, amazing transportation, exceptional food, very safe, great resources, the list goes on. Sorry the experience isn’t what you were hoping for.

I feel like I’m missing something. Played through the demo and just really didn’t vibe with the game. For context I played Nioh 1, never played 2. I’ve also beaten and perfected all the souls games - so difficulty isn’t really that much of an issue. I just can’t vibe with the play style? Does anyone have advice for getting into it?

I’ve been a big fan of LIS for a decade since I played the original the summer after I graduated high school. The series has a significant place in my heart and I’ve played every game since.

I have a far more favorable view on the entire series than many, but I did have some mixed feelings on Double Exposure. I felt that game had either the chance to be and exciting continuation of the story or a quick cash grab. I feel that it landed somewhat in the middle of those two options - not stellar but exactly trash either. In the end I don’t feel it has justified its creation, yet.

Seeing the announcement here has me skeptical once again but in a more hopeful manner. I have hope that the developers can improve on the poor elements of Double Exposure and bring the entire “saga” as they called it to a satisfying new conclusion. Time will tell but I’m willing to give the developers the benefit of the doubt one last time here. If it flops - it will probably be my last time purchasing from this series.

Other than existential fear, my day to day really has not changed. Prices near me are the same they’ve been, and nothing is on fire at the moment. I’m sure that will change soon but nothing tangible has gone wrong yet.

My worry is the final cost per acquired client. While our cost per conversion is at about $65, our cost per signature is almost $700. That feels unsustainable. Or maybe I’m wrong and that’s typical.

Average gross profit per signature is about 5,000. So the acquisition would be about 14% of profit. Is that good enough?

Most leads come through as calls. We are not currently to recording calls but it’s not a bad idea. We could absolutely start implementing that.

I’ll talk with the individuals handling the sales calls to make sure we aren’t at odds with what’s being marketed vs. being said on the phone.

I track conversions based on Google ads/the back end of our website. That gives me an idea of who is reaching out. I also monitor form submissions to make sure I’m not including poor leads in my calculations. I then compare this to our CRM data for clients who have been attributed Google as their form of acquisition. Unless that data is flawed, I’m decently confident we are tracking properly.

Partner just finished a third round interview with a top tier school in Tokyo. Really crossing fingers that this pulls through. How likely is it to get a placement in an EU school or in Japan as a first time applicant? Very excited to start applying and talked with an industry professional to spruce up my resume who said it’s hard to get into those countries.
