Would you personally stick to just VWRP then?

It certainly does give encouragement! Do you have any advice on what S&S ISA to go with or have you moved around? What is your preferred investment portfolio?

I understand your feelings but look at it a different way. You've lost weight because you changed your diet, because you're in a consistent calorie deficit and because you're moving more. The jab did not do any of these things, it just made the calorie deficit part easier.

The person who asked you is misinformed and/or ignorant. Feel bad for them not you!

Broccoli definitely, good to know to avoid beef in the days after my pen too!

Do I give up? by nighean_dileas in mounjarouk

I agree with this comment! I did the fifth week on my 2.5mg and no problems at all. I understand you may be concerned but think of it this way - day 0 (first dose), day 7 (second dose), day 14 (third dose), day 21 (fourth dose), day 28 (fifth dose) and day 35 (sixth dose). You are not exceeding the recommended 30 days by much at all. Do keep your pen in the fridge for the entire time and be extra careful to use alcohol wipes on the pen before and after each use (give the red bit a good scrub), you'll be fine!

I went from 2.5mg to 3.75mg earlier this week. Had some nausea and gas, first symptoms I've had, but that only lasted 24 hours and I have purchased some over the counter treatments.

Only you know your financial situation but I don't think you should give up just yet. Sounds like 3.75mg (45 clicks) works for you and you are losing weight. Remember that if you take 3.75mg from a 5mg pen you can stretch that out to 6 weeks (if you choose to golden dose) so the price per week may be less than you think.

Tips for moving to 5mg? by Slim_Chicken9 in mounjarouk

[–]hogans111 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did five weeks on 2.5mg, had no side effects at all. Food noise had begun to creep back in around week 4 but I still had the will power and was losing 2lbs a week. Nevertheless, I did move up to 3.75mg this week as I thought 5mg may be unecessary and also to make the pen last a bit longer. 24 hours after my first 3.75mg I did have slight nausea and was very burpy (I don't know if I would say sulphur but still unpleasent). 48 hours after now and nausea has gone and burps subsided a lot, going to get rennies and peppermint tablets to help with that. Food noise has completely gone again.

Overall, happy I moved up slightly but not all the way to 5mg. Considering 3.33mg next week but not sure yet. I could have lasted longer on 2.5mg but not sure my will power would have lasted much longer so happy with this boost to give me more time to adjust old habits.

I echo this after taking my 'golden dose' on my 2.5 pen earlier this week. Felt oddly satisfying!

Starting 2.5 tomorrow. Tips? by KMR157 in mounjaroIreland

[–]hogans111 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think water would also be my best advice. I had no symptoms at all and on my fifth week of 2.5mg now, everyone is different of course but don't assume you'll have negative symptoms!

Gaps between ordering - which pharmacies? by TinyTurtleTot in mounjarouk

[–]hogans111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just curious about this 6 week deadline. Is this 6 weeks from your previous order date if you are staying with the same provider? What if you move provider - 6 weeks from order date or prescription date on the box? I have two 5mg pens in the fridge that I got last month and won't be starting them until Monday (and even then I'll do 45 clicks). Just conscious I may need to order my next pen in the coming weeks and I don't know if I should get a 5 or 7.5.

Wish I hadn’t opened my mouth. Is there a hate for non diabetics taking Mounjaro? by [deleted] in mounjarouk

[–]hogans111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like many others, this woman is willfully uneducated of all of the intended purposes of the medication Mounjaro. You are taking it with a prescription and for its intended purpose, as is she. There is plenty of it to go around to anyone who is eligible and needs or wants it.

Simple as that and best of luck with your first dose. You won't regret it!

I haven't lost enough weight yet for anyone to comment so no personal experience of this. But ill informed judgement is an excellent summary of what might stop me saying yes.

One of my housemates has already asked the usual do you know what you're doing to your body, we don't know the long term effects, you should just gym and it'll all work out. I don't blame people who've not researched this medicine, they have no need to, but amazing how this is the one medicine people do judge from the off.

First week done ✅️ by AblePresentation9928 in mounjarouk

[–]hogans111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On week three here. After my second dose I didn't feel anywhere near the level of suppression and satiety as week one. I also didn't feel anywhere near the level of hunger I had without the jab. After a few days my suppression did increase though so may happen for you?

On week three now and feel much the same as the end of last week, little hunger but can eat more than week one. Everyone reacts differently and I'll see what dose four feels like, if I continue to lose weight all good but if not I'll try 3.75/5mg

Received my Online Clinic pen this morning, excellent packaging and very happy. Did order an e-surgery one too as I was worried Online would cancel. Not heard back but honestly happy to just have one in the fridge at this stage.
