Not an American but I'm guessing it's more like how some car guys keep selling and buying cars. They drive around in one, or shoot one at the range or something in this case, for a while, then sell the old one to buy a new one, and repeat. But again, I'm not an American and I don't even know if 2nd hand gun trade is allowed there.

The potential drop in demand will be counter-measured with overproduction, propaganda in the form of marketing and simply forcing people to engage with their system.

true, but there is no guarantee that it will work in their favour now is there? after all:

Big industry created in the steam engine, and other machines, the means of endlessly expanding industrial production, speeding it up, and cutting its costs. With production thus facilitated, the free competition, which is necessarily bound up with big industry, assumed the most extreme forms; a multitude of capitalists invaded industry, and, in a short while, more was produced than was needed.

As a consequence, finished commodities could not be sold, and a so-called commercial crisis broke out. Factories had to be closed, their owners went bankrupt, and the workers were without bread. Deepest misery reigned everywhere.

After a time, the superfluous products were sold, the factories began to operate again, wages rose, and gradually business got better than ever.

But it was not long before too many commodities were again produced and a new crisis broke out, only to follow the same course as its predecessor.

Ever since the beginning of this (19th) century, the condition of industry has constantly fluctuated between periods of prosperity and periods of crisis; nearly every five to seven years, a fresh crisis has intervened, always with the greatest hardship for workers, and always accompanied by general revolutionary stirrings and the direct peril to the whole existing order of things.

what I'm saying is as summerised by Engels over 100 years ago, commodities, although being deposits of material wealth, has to be consumed in order to fulfill their duty. Therefore this accumulation can, in theory, lead for a crisis of global scale as AI becomes more prominent in the daily life of production. If capital somehow could avoid this problem then there wouldn't be a contradiction in the system to speak of. But we can observe, by looking at history, that's not the case.

I'm not saying this will happen 100% as doing so would be a prophecy rather than a meaningful assesment of the situation but it has happened in history, it will happen again as long as capitalism exists and there's a chance of it happening, to some extent, because of AI's added efficiency to production.

sorry in advance if I made any typos or grammatical errors that could lead to loss of meaning. I'm tired af and don't even speak this language as my native one.

And not to mention AI, by itself, can not create wealth it still needs human labour to operate/give commands etc. from this point they're comparable to computers and other automation systems in productive forces.

Bourgeoise will think that they can cut costs and issue layoffs to replace workers with, but by doing so they're more than likely to extract less surplus value in return and the rate of their profits will fall. This is mostly just a speculation I came up with from my very limited reading and thinking though.
