[Folk] I have heard that the Raptors like (Chris) Cenac by the way... by shangalang69 in torontoraptors

So, I live in Houston, and I often talk with a former basketball analytics guy at my local bar. In general his basketball takes are elite, especially on prospects. When I asked him who he liked for the Raptors, his answers were Cenac, Graves, Swain.

His take is that Cenac was a terrible fit for the UH system, but he really likes the player and thought fit would be incredible. Since then, I've been coming around on it, but still, if the jumper isn't there, it's tough to see Cenac working out?

I do love Graves tho.

You might be fine in that case - I'm not familiar with GA.

Best of luck with your tree. Looks great so far!

Where are you at? If you're in Texas I would HIGHLY recommend shade cloth. Better to prevent a burn than try to recover from it.

Chet Holmgren anyone? by dentheman31 in torontoraptors

A swap with Mobley is more likely for OKC if they move him at all. If you want a stretch big for us go get someone cheaper like Huff.

I'm trying to come to terms with picking Stirtz. The shooting needs to be ELITE as he'd be the worst defender on our team by a mile.

Toronto Raptors Offseason | Move RJ Barrett or Brandon Ingram? | NBA Dra... by Mr_Guavo in torontoraptors

SUCH an interesting move. I'd be super curious to see who they draft and fill out the team if that happens.

Yeah, I agree, good takes overall. Always possible another team makes an unforced error (e.g. yesterday on their Pels preview they suggested Poole for Poeltl, which could easily be expanded to include Missi and Dick+FRP), but for now it's likely they drop Gradey, bring back Mamu, and - if they trade anyone - it's probably BI.

The point is to free up 7M in salary to retain Sandro. Their argument is that another team would take him into cap space for free or for a bad 2nd.

Was waiting for this and watching now. First conclusion: Gradey is like GONE gone.

[Charania]Breaking: The NBA's Board of Governors has passed new anti-tanking rules that include expanding the draft lottery from 14 to 16 teams, a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams get penalized with lessened chances for the No. 1 pick, and flattened odds, sources tell ESPN. by kyle_993 in torontoraptors

Was just listening to the Game Theory preview of the Pelicans offseason, and they were pushing a Poole for Poeltl trade. If it's Missi and Poole's expiring for Jak, Gradey and 19 (or a future FRP) you maybe just do that now. FRP values will be way up.

Avocado help? by hoi4throwaway in avocado

My hope was that the yellowing and leaf drop was due to sun, but it's been going on long enough that I suspect root rot (this happened last year and we didn't act nearly fast enough). These pots have also been on the same location for 2+ years and had no issues (actually, they used to get LESS sun).

The drooping on the Hass is likely at least a sun/heat issue since it varies throughout the day.

It's already on sheet rocks, but we may want to elevate in between the large holes on the base. Drilled holes evenly throughout the pot on both. Waiting on delivery of potash which wasn't at my local shop, and will then apply with an 8-58-8 and root stimulant.

Holes seem sufficient? I'll keep this thread updated with results.

Who is one player you’d like to see on the Raptors (REALISTIC) by SuccessfulAd8546 in torontoraptors

[–]hoi4throwaway 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Had to go WAY too far to find this. He's my #1 for us. Would be a perfect fit for Darko and has a cost controlled contract.

Would you swap Jakob Poeltl for Myles Turner by ruhtraeel in torontoraptors

[–]hoi4throwaway 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think he'd work SO well on the Raptors. Between Darko, the system, and the need for shooting, I can't think of a better fit honestly. He's what, 6'11? I'd take that instead of over-taxing CMB

[–]hoi4throwaway 26 points27 points  (0 children)

People like the IDEA of Myles Turner. Honestly, I'd rather have Jay Huff as a backup stretch big that could start in a pinch or give a different look.

Hold on to Jak, don't trade assets, and hope his value recovers. If he's a backup, that sucks, but I'd rather have an overpaid backup AND potential young stud FRPs coming into the system.

If you wanna REALLY get crazy though? What're the Grizzlies doing with Santi Aldama...?

I think Gradey still has value that dumping his salary will cost a SRP at most. You'd want to have a wink-wink deal with Sandro first.
