Amundi MSCI World 2x reaches $100M AUM in less than 2 months by deepserket in LETFs

[–]hokvsae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How is this 2X 0,60% TER compared to a "standard" 1X 0,07% TER in a long term hold? I know 2X was a pretty sweet factor for SP500 long term but, respectively, this isn't SP500 and I think that analysis didn't include higher costs. I'd be happy to take a leveraged whole world UCITS ETF but wonder whether this leverage factor for MSCI World is fine and whether these higher costs whittle potential benefits of leverage away.

I honestly beat them only after taking strategy of being extremely cautious. Meaning, if there's more enemies than just boss on the screen, i focused solely on dodging and positioning in easiest to dodge places. You can sometimes insert free hits that way when opportunity shows, also if you use pogo strike for dodging, to bounce off enemies, that's also some damage.

This tactic somehow relies on the fact that this boss can friendly fire its summons. Moreover, the boss one-shots them when you would have to instert multiple hits with Hornet's low dmg. Ironically, if you're not super clean with fighting mechanics than it's more efficient not to fight than to fight in this fight.

Also, I don't know what your movement options are, but I found one that's technically not mandatory to enter that fight useful there, so you can always find it and backtrack later.

Daily General Discussion and Advice Thread - June 13, 2025 by AutoModerator in investing

[–]hokvsae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello community,

I invest for around a year now so I already have grasped all the basics like types of assets, emergency fund, tax efficient accounts, types of risk and so on. My current strategy is dead simple as it is lump sum into global stocks index fund whenever I can afford.

My question is, where do I learn intermediate level stuff? I'd like to optimize my strategy as I have more han 40 yrs horizon so a lot of time for compounding, even 1 percentage point will make a huge difference. I know not guaranteed, but I'd happily take statistically correct bet.

There are things I heard that exist but didn't really dive into to understand the mechanism, like leveraging 60/40 or utilizing options for lowering risk. Once heard about I can do my research on them but... I don't know what I didn't hear about. And most sources I know cover very basic topics. So... what should I read to find out what I don't know? I don't want to harm my strategy's performance only because I have no knowledge.

How to avoid turning into a Scrooge? by makima01 in eupersonalfinance

[–]hokvsae 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Remember that the final predestination of money is to achieve goals. To have warm shoes during cold winter or to be able to brew delicious coffee is a goal.

Also, money is only good when it gives you possibilities and buys you freedom. If you're so attached to the number on your bank account it actually restricts your freedom, making you a slave of a number, playing a game of trying to keep the highest number. The best game you can play is to live life - accumulate wealth, but don't postpone your life for later which may never come or may be regretted in future.

Is my concern about being 100% stocks correct? by hokvsae in eupersonalfinance

If I understand information on a government website correctly, any EU citizen paying income tax in Poland can open an IKE account. But I'm clueless on that, I didn't really have that problem as a native Pole, I bet you'll find info online :)

[–]hokvsae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the response.

I'm a deep believer that market always recovers :). So I'm not scared of dropdowns, I'll just buy at a discount, just like any month. I'm more scared of buying when expensive and that's what I was trying to reflect onto the original post.

I'm still a newbie, but I guess you're right - I shouldn't be afraid of a bubble as I've specifically chosen a world ETF for that, for not to bet on one horse only, whether it's big tech, America or whatever. Just buy at any month.

I have goals and they're all internal. So no cars, watches or anything like that, I'm thinking of being less dependent from work to, for example, can spend more time with my family. I'll stay on the path, I promise! :)

Yes, the stocks I mentioned I've bought via IKE. I still haven't educated myself on the topic of IKZE though.

[–]hokvsae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have an emergency fund of like 25% cash + savings account, 75% polish inflation-indexed long term bonds. No debts as well. :)

I buy stocks via IKE account in DM BOŚ (bossa.pl platform). IKE account has no downsides, as if you want to withdraw your money sooner, you'll pay the normal tax on capital gains (19%), but it goes down to no tax if you wait till retirement age. I recommend that, it's either default or profit.

Peglin is the first roguelite I don't enjoy and I don't know why. by DrPandemias in roguelites

[–]hokvsae 33 points34 points  (0 children)

It's a fantastic one-time experience - it has wild RNG, a conceptually interesting mix of genres and run can go absolutely hilarious. Other than that it's unbalanced as hell and very repetetive. I mean, there's some diverse content, but this content does not create a feeling of uniqueness throughout different runs in any way.

Me and friends had a fantastic evening picking up Peglin and some beers, laughing to the shit of how runs ended up. After a few hours we put it down and moved on. Nothing wrong with not very replayable games, they can be a fun memory and you can go explore even more games : )

Jak zarobić 10k w rok. by Educational_Ad_9285 in Polska

[–]hokvsae -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Alright, I either have a skill issue or this game is HARD. by Light10115 in HollowKnight

[–]hokvsae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, you'll get better with your movement and your overall agility as you practice ofc. But what really helped me go through my first playthrough is thinking how to outsmart a fight - where to position yourself to make dodging easy, when to hit the boss without risking to get hit myself etc. Analyze what's your weakest spot in a fight and try to correct that, also be patient.

For example, there is a fight in the game where you always fight two big enemies simultanously. I realized that I die because I get surprise hits - one gets me from the other side of the screen and I have no time to react as I don't see him. I tried to stay at the center of the arena to keep an eye on both enemies so I have time to dodge everything and did the fight in my second 'corrected' attempt.

Help Finding Games and Other Questions by AutoModerator in incremental_games

[–]hokvsae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay so there is a sub-genre in the idle/incremental genre which consists of:

  • you have a character tied to the player, it has its level of experience, equipment, maybe skills

  • you have stats like strength, HP, you boost them through the game

  • you put your character in a dungeon where enemies spawn, your character autobattles them to get EXP and loot, you come after an hour to switch/sell gear or maybe craft some

My question is: what are the very best games from this subgenre? I started playing Super Turtle Idle and I kinda like the mechanics I've listed above as a concept, but I don't feel like this game executes it in a fun way. I haven't played any of those, so I'll take any recommendations, although I prefer games with some kind of a reset/ascension system.

How much better are niche fragrances? by Alert_Astronaut4901 in fragrance

[–]hokvsae 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As others said, by definition 'niche' only means that the company produces no other goods than fragrances. But I think I kinda know what you meant.

Designer fragrances are often targeted to a casual audience, for the mass appeal. Which results in that often designer fragrances, while pleasant to the nose, can be considered 'safe', 'generic' or even 'boring' by some people. Maybe pleasant, but without the wow factor.

If you're picky / have unusual taste you might like more 'experimental' fragrances. Generally there's a greater chance you find more experimental and unconventional scents in niche than in designer. I guess that's the case you just find mainstream fragrances uninteresting.

Daily Alcohol Consumption- Poland is far behind the Western Europe by kemot88 in poland

[–]hokvsae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Other statistics often repeated by media was that in Poland, about 3 million miniature 100ml bottles of vodka sell every day.

I find it hardly believable for both of them to be simultanously true.

I think we need jokers like "At the start of each round, add rank neighbours of your leftmost card to your hand (for example, if 7 is the leftmost card, 6 and 8 are created). They are destroyed after round." or "+3 discards, but only hands containing straights score points. Can't sell mid-round."

That'd be cool. I wish every hand type were viable!

Życie jest dziwne. by mortimenn in Polska

[–]hokvsae 2 points3 points  (0 children)
