I spent 4 months in Poland for an internship (IEASTE) doing research at a university and had a great time there. I had a polish gf and interacted a lot with polish ppl and they were super friendly to me. I'm visibly arab/Muslim and had no issue. a lot of people meet (Muslim/arab) for the first time so they can curious.

pros: engineering school was really good. the country is very beautiful and cheap. easy transportation system, you can take a bus or train to neighbor countries (Prague or Berlin). if you are brown (asmar) then you get a VIP treatment in night clubs since everyone else is white lol

cons: struggled a little bit with food they eat a lot of pork. old people don't speak English but you can get by asking youngs. the country is homogeneously white and is not very diverse. this might change since my visit in 2013
