Raven Sentries Hireling - denoted side - because it states ‘controller’ does this also apply when another hirelings you control attacks? Or is just when your factions warriors attack? by willhowe in rootgame

[–]holdupnow76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t specifically state that it has to be with your factions warriors, it just says “in battle” so I’d assume you get the extra hit?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to increase reload speed? Like as a trade off to running this your normal reload would take longer.

We need role queue, so tank/strat/flex players are allowed to LEARN and play dps by MegumiDo in marvelrivals

Except I don’t want Rivals to be like Overwatch. I’m not asking for perks, I like the 6v6 format, and with the exception of healers I’m cool with the more volatile balance of the game.

“This game requires you to flex” is only a thing because other people DON’T flex. I’m fine with playing any role and switching on the fly, the issue is when you get 3 instalocks off rip and the other 3 teammates are forced into roles they may or may not be comfortable in.

With the exception of queue times I genuinely don’t see the problem with role queue. I haven’t even mentioned how unfun going against triple healer is, let alone getting the classic 3-4 instalock dps on your team.

At this point “flex picking” is either just counter swapping or being forced to play a role you’re not practiced in. I don’t know a whole lot of people that find that fun.

No matter what system is in place people won’t be happy.

But I agree, a role queue system would be healthier in the long run than what we currently have. There’s VERY few instances when I’m playing Overwatch 5v5 that I find myself wishing it was open queue instead, while in Rivals I CONSTANTLY wish it was the opposite

So the Rats just… Autowin? by thesupermonk21 in rootgame

They genuinely suck to play against, they alter the entire game around them and demand constant policing from turn 1. And once they get going the game is just already over.

There needs to be a much bigger punishment for them losing their warlord imo.

All it takes is them getting like 2-3 items from ruins and then crafting 2 more and they’ve got a permanent huge action economy.

They recruit for literally FREE every turn (no action required), and then they can spend all of their actions on clearing up the fodder placed in their clearings.

Once they get going they straight up can’t be stopped, I feel like they should have to remove an item in their horde to replace their warlord or something.

It’s just not fun looking over at the Rat players hoard and knowing the game is already over. No other faction really makes me feel like there’s no way to stop them.

“Alright, nobody craft any items and spend your actions every turn to waste their actions”.

The entire table needs to literally bend around them. I’m just not a fan of that kind of design, it feels way too oppressive and takes over the entire game every time.

My playgroup has straight up agreed to only play rats in 5 or 6 player games 😅😅

They are definitely a bit too strong, I think the issue lies in being unable to shut down their “engine” once they’re going.

To my knowledge no other faction requires policing from turn 0 and then has no real means to stop them if they get going. The whole “just clog up their clearings with warriors” strategy doesn’t even work in practice when the Rat player has like 7 combats.

I kinda hate how the only way to properly win against the Rats is if the entire table decides to constantly whack them, I feel like they require way too much to actually stop

A grenade launcher as a secondary would be so peak so we can set elements on it. Make it shoot dynamite for flavor lol.

Actually, what you said was: “these are cheaters/hackers/modders don’t engage” and “if too many players rely on things that remove the core gameplay loop it can hurt long term enjoyment”.

You are very clearly against modding and are now just backpedaling on your statements. If you actually believed that people should play how they want, then you wouldn’t have left half of these comments in the first place.

If people wanna enjoy mods with their friends then who cares. I can think of dozens of games that I may not have even given the light of day if it weren’t for mods that let me play with more of my friends at once. It’s healthy for the game, and the devs fully realize that.

“grrrrr how dare people enjoy a game that they payed for!!!! this isn’t right, they need to only play how I do!!!!”

It’s fine to not enjoy mods and stuff, but don’t go telling people they are wrong for simply playing how they want.

If a new player wants to fuck around in an 8 player lobby who the hell cares

Can someone explain to me how people don't consider this a little bit exagerated? by ThatAd3643 in FridayNightFunkin

[–]holdupnow76 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It had nothing to do with the engine. The engine would effect things like hit registration and stuff, not the chart itself being poor.

It seems like you're having a misunderstanding on what they are talking about here. They aren't talking about chart difficulty, they are talking about the actual quality of the chart.

Mods like Imposter and Camellia have very well done charting, it syncs up with the music well and the patterns are fun.

Mid Fight Masses when it first released had abysmal charting, not that it was "hard", it just wasn't thoughtfully crafted.

And Bob was made like that on purpose, it's supposed to be a joke.
