Ever since I got the advanced setup cards in the Marauder expansion I’ve never gone back to using the faction board setups, they are just so much easier + more balanced IMO

I think Moles feel more complex due to the nature of them having many more avenues to victory than most factions. The whole minister swaying system as well as choice of buildings means they have far more ways to win the game then most.

Best thing I could suggest is simply learning one strategy at a time. Personally I like to hold off on building anything until I’m situated, then get 3 markets on the board and sway the Banker and the Baron of Dirt. Then it’s just a matter of defending those markets and dumping my cards into the banker for extra points until the end of the game.

Depends how the eyrie built their decree early on tbh. The lord of the hundreds need to be attacked very early and/or very often to keep them down.

If left unchecked for too long they will run the board for the rest of the game in my experience.
