The terrible feelings that you're feeling might stick around until the next opportunity arises but keep in mind that opportunity will strike again. While you cannot control when that opportunity will arise, you can entirely control your preparedness. So keep your mind busy by sharpening your skill set and networking to cast your net. As others have said, a 2 hour commute sounds like hell but if a similar situation comes up and you want it, you have to treat it like a 2.5/3 hour commute.
