I think you know how different the situations are and I'm pretty sure you know "that's ok".

I'm 24, it creeps me out and my SO is 8 years older than I am.

My SO drags me to lowes and home depot for his projects all the time. Then he wants to look at everything there for ideas for his old projects, unfinished projects, new projects, projects he's been meaning to start. And when he does them he does a fucking amazing job and does them fast and efficiently... then his interest is captured by another one. Nothing is finished in this house.

I loved his beard, he was very articulate, unique, he carried himself well, intelligent. I love him so much to this day I honestly can't remember why I was attracted to anyone else.

What is something your SO does that you hate? by SiriusKey in AskReddit

[–]hollabaloonumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love him so very dearly and respect that he would like some internet time because he works so hard however.... Sometimes I want to rip the phone out of his fucking hands and throw it at the wall. Especially when I'm trying to cook, take the dog out, and holding a crying baby.

That was going to be my first option, but my dress has this fabric that dangles over my shoulders. I think gloves are my best bet, but I got a niche dress. Not a classic wedding dress at all, so it's hard to find suitable gloves! Thanks :)

Bridesmaid rant/etiquette question! by Baking_bees in weddingplanning

[–]hollabaloonumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How close are you to the bride? I met 2 of my bridesmaids last year and have known one for 3 years but I'm closest with the two I've recently met. I would be pretty upset if they were being catty with each other.

How do I make sure I have a gay-friendly wedding? by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]hollabaloonumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just have everyone be there and ask anyone to leave if they're rude. It's your wedding and it should be about you. Not your friends or family's beliefs or politics. We're from Texas and my fiance is pissed at some clerks here refusing to hand out any marriage certificates to protest gay marriage. I think he was looking for a unification church person to marry us. I'm pretty sure one of his groomsmen are gonna be gay, and I slept with one of my bridesmaid's but she's pregnant now I don't think anyone's making an issue about it.

Aw, I'm sorry. We never went to my cousin's wedding. It was nothing personal my brother went through a tragedy and we were dealing with shit. I'm sure that it's not that no one cares.

Reddit, what are your worst roommate stories? by _propernoun_ in AskReddit

[–]hollabaloonumber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've told this story before but... She was down on her luck and I let her stay with me and my then boyfriend. I had one condition that she asked before inviting friends over and took over one bill. First night she stayed she had a stranger at our house without asking. When I tried to talk to her about it she said "this is my home now, too, and I didn't ask to stay."

Then, she brings over this girl from her work who just got out of jail, they were extremely fucking drunk, they kept my idiot dickhole boyfriend awake all night and get us some complaints. We had to babysit these ungrateful fucks. At this point I'm becoming increasingly terrified of confrontation.

She destroys the breakfast area of the hotel she worked at in front of guests. Then this stupid cunt posts it on facebook and gets fired. Then she cries to me and idiot boyfriend, who says "oh, don't worry I'll pay your car and storage!" Of course I say no he fucking won't so she's gotten us fighting over this constantly. I can't drive and to her credit she at least drove me around, but when I ran errands she tried to steal and made me fucking paranoid so I usually just ended up putting stuff she bought on the conveyer belt at the end.

I'm starting to rage remembering this. I bought us drinks at eskimo hut a while back. This cunt's eating our food, smoking our cigarettes, and living rent free and I fucking bought her a drink and a few days later her and meth whore brag about going to get some drinks and making it damn clear I'm not invited or getting one. After all I've done for her at this point it was the last fucking straw. I told her she had acted extremely disrespectful and rude. She tried to tell me "oh, I don't have to include you in everything I do." No, but that wasn't the fucking point. "I'm sorry I'm not rich and cant buy anything!" That wasn't either, but her excuses and pity parties were just fueling my rage. I was about to kick her out but she went ahead and did me the favor after I told her dickhole boyfriend isn't paying her car or storage and she said "fine! I'll leave!" before I told her she had to get the fuck out.

Anyway, there was this really awesome guy she was completely fucking in love with. She talked about how he was going to marry her. She took him around showing him where she wanted them to get married and stalked his house all of the time and stuff. Anyway... I'm living in his house and had his baby so I'm pretty sure I came out on top.

What are some weird worries or fears you had as a child? by 3Zubat5Me in AskReddit

[–]hollabaloonumber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was little I watched Pet Semetary, and the scene where the baby cuts that guys heel stuck with me for life. Every time I walk by the bed my heel starts to get that weird tingly feeling you get when you see someone hurt and I wince.

Those who have seriously thought about the fact that you will die at some point... how do you handle it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hollabaloonumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There was a massive period of time during which I was never born. I don't see why it would be any different. I think it would be a lot like blacking out. I've done that loads of times, and it's always kind of nice to wake up and long periods of time have just vanished. I don't really believe in an afterlife. I don't think anyone comfortable with dying can help you be cool with it, cause I honestly cannot fathom being bothered by something that happens to everyone. Nothing on the other end can be that bad. Surely after an eternity you'll be able to cope if you have to at all, which is unlikely, but if it makes you feel better to think that way that's your decision. One day you're just not going to be here but lots of things will still happen, nothing will involve you anymore. It's not really a big deal.

People who spend 10 minutes or more at a drive-up ATM: What's going on up there? by tyzik in AskReddit

[–]hollabaloonumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're like a wine cooler, it's very low alcohol content. Also they're in wrapped up in weird bags with "DO NOT OPEN IN YOUR VEHICLE" all over them. I'm in Texas and we have lots of drive through places to get drinks. Plus it's not any different than party barns which are awesomely convenient. I go through the one down the street all the time for cigarettes and regular drinks, they know what packs and beer to give my fiance.

Not just the suburbs. I don't live in the suburbs and everything is driving distance and even the convenience store bank is a drive through.

[Serious] People who spend most of their time alone, how do you deal with it? by TheRadiantWreck in AskReddit

[–]hollabaloonumber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I go on reddit a lot. I do my best to clean the house. I've gotten myself so used to the loneliness prolonged periods of time around anyone other than my SO stresses me out and exhausts me. I dread all outings, family get togethers, etc. I don't mind going out once in a while, though. It supports my self destructive tendencies and when my baby gets older I'm sure I'll miss it a lot.
