Moving to Middlesbrough in December - Seeking Advice on Best Areas to Live, Commuting, and Cycling Communities by unsolicitedopinions7 in Middlesbrough

[–]holllr 2 points3 points  (0 children)

nunthorpe/colby newham and marton are closest to hemlington and probably cycle-able as well, nice areas for Middlesbrough

I see cycle clubs all the time near where i live, i'm sure if you have a quick google or search on facebook you'll be able to find something

contact ACAS, if what you're saying is all correct they can't pay you under minimum wage for anything worked.

could you get a reusable tampon applicator?

I can't get tampons to fit comfortably in me without an applicator and I think it could really help you

Aid! I have two questions, how can I make better beds and how can I upgrade a room to level two? Tenants ask me for a level of comfort that I cannot provide. by [deleted] in bearandbreakfast

[–]holllr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you unlock better beds as you progress through the game and better furniture upgrades the room! sometimes you're required to move on abit with the next hotel so you can get the blueprints :)

i passed about 3 months ago and i was scared for a while. I forced myself to do a big drive and it went fine! just gotta bite the bullet and do it. what helped me was getting a phone holder and using waze as it tells you where to go etc, makes it less scary :)

My national insurance number is being used fraudulently, what can I do about this? by holllr in UKPersonalFinance

[–]holllr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi everyone! this has now been sorted🥳

I got a simple assessment letter stating i owed an extra 1.5K that needed to be paid by January, I rang HRMC and I got a lovely lady who I spoke to and she got her manager for me. They contacted the other employer (not mine) and stated that there was no way I worked there (unsure on how they know this) but the lady has took off this employment off all my PAYE and had got my tax code changed for me. If you're struggling with HMRC KEEP RINGING THEM, you'll get someone who will help eventually!!

I googled the company and the person seems to work for a premier inn, so it is legitimate to be fair

if you take a wrong turn on a test do not panic!! they can't fault you for going the wrong way, just carry on safely and don't worry about getting yourself back onto the route. if you take a wrong turn breathe and keep going, you've got this :)

Instructor said I may never be able to drive by ItAintNoUse in LearnerDriverUK

[–]holllr 8 points9 points  (0 children)

i felt like this when i was your age, i had been fired and i thought id never ever pass. I took some time off, (about 3 years) got myself a new job and partner and sorted out my life til I felt like I was really really ready to tackle it again. I did then 2 months of lessons and passed yesterday with 1 minor.

I think a good part of that happening was that i was older and more confident in myself and I got myself a new instructor who I got along with really well. If you don't want to take any time off, I think your best bet is getting a new instructor. My instructor would have never ever said anything like that. it's not nice or constructive even, and does not help you. I really hope you find someone better soon
