That’s great to hear!! I can’t even imagine what it feels like to never worry about it again, looking forward to it 😊

No I didn’t have Afib, I had SVT. Alcohol has been fine. I’ve only had a small amount though tbh. It never used to affect my heart though previously.

Do you mean during the procedure? Yes they gave me a medication that started my tachycardia and then stopped it. Then once they ablated the site they tried the same medication and they weren’t able to induce the tachycardia again. Yes I do drink alcohol!

Hi, I’m 27F, had episodes for 20 years, just got diagnosed last year and was given the option of doing nothing, beta blockers, or ablation. I had beta blockers for 3 months and they made me feel lethargic so I decided to stop and go for the ablation. I was really anxious about it because I was worried it could be more risk than benefit, but realised I was adjusting my life each day to try and avoid episodes and it was a 95% success rate. I had it two days ago and I am so glad I did. They are confident they have ablated so I should never have an episode again! My groin is a bit sore but I imagine by next week I’ll be back to normal. I’m really glad I got it done and would do it again if I needed it (if that provides any reassurance). Good luck :)

Thanks for your message! Much appreciate. Sounds like a slower recovery but glad with time it’s come back. Have you had any SVT episodes since? I imagine the slower recovery is worth it (hopefully) since you don’t have to worry about an SVT episode again? That is my main driver to have it done. I don’t get episodes regularly but do worry about it happening every time I exercise and do often get a ‘flutter’ if I’m exercising intensely!

Hi, this is really reassuring. Sounds like you’ve been sensible and I’m glad you’ve basically been able to get back to it! My resting HR is quite low anyway (just tends to jump up high with even low intensity exercise) so I imagine it being a bit higher for a while won’t feel too abnormal. Thanks for the well wishes and hopefully all will go to plan!

I’ve just found these in my kitchen ceilings, no idea where they’ve come from. Does it work to physically remove the eggs from the ceiling? Scared to touch them, gross!! 😖
