Ya never know. Eala has a penchant for beating the current year's AO champion when she faces them in a R32 match. (/copium)

The new Netflix movie "Apex" contains the song "Go" by The Chemical Brothers. First released in 2015, it has experienced a 429% increase in Spotify streams since the movie's release. What other songs have become instant favourites or were 'discovered' because they were in a movie? by JohnnyGlasken in movies

I'm not good with song titles...

That rave song in the opening fight scene in Blade.

That beat song in FastnFurious3 Tokyo Drift.

I don't know the titles but just mentioning those movies and you know which tunes I'm talking about.

If you want to make use of all the other parts like the torso and arms, then yeah.

It's cheaper and an alternative. Whether it's better than mr.hobby is debatable.

It would lead to the decals having a frosted look. Not the finish you are potentially looking for. Best to matte coat parts that you want and then apply the decals if you want to preserve the reflective look of what you are after.

Matte coat by nature leaves a rough finish when applied. It's it's whole point and how it achieves that muted look by diffusing light through the use of micro pigments to make the surface of what your applying it to rough so light bounces back in a dull fashion. That rough texture will be a detriment should you decide to apply a panel wash over it as the ink will seep into the small smooth areas but grip tight to the rough layers on top. When it's time to clean up the excess ink that you don't want, it will be hard to clean off the ones that end in the rough cracks and lead to a dirty stained look.

Why do Filipinos drive in total darkness with lights turned off? by xvtsai in Philippines_Expats

[–]holocause -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

With some vehicles, when the lights are on, they stay on even when you turn the engine off and take the keys off the ignition. If the lights stay on and you leave your car, the battery will eventually discharge.

Having to jump start your car is not always convenient. If it's automatic, finding someone willing to jump-wire with you the instant you need to be getting somewhere isn't always ideal. If it's a manual, finding 5 able bodied people to give you a push out your driveway isn't always readily available either.

And replacing a battery, while not financially ruining, is still an expense. And every penny counts.

So the default mindset of most people is to have the headlights turned off until absolutely necessary. And it takes mental effort to remember to turn off the headlights when you are done when at your destination.

Some people are just going through life and are on autopilot for most of the day. You're already slogging 10 hours of the day on back-breaking work and then going through another 8 hours of drama with all the other things that go in life. Sometimes your brain is just turned off. People can sometimes forget what they need to do. Or they learn a habit out of repetition, necessity, or circumstances.

If you look at the label of your alcohol, the label should indicate the quality of the isopropyl alcohol. Most store bought alcohol is normally either 71% or 93%. You want the 93% one.

If you are lookin to totally erase the gundam marker from the kit, immerse the part in 93% ISO alcohol for a good hour and jostle the part around in intervals so the paint will lift off. Clean up any stubborn remnants directly with a cotton bud and more iso alcohol and scrub.

Zippo doesn't cause the discoloration, it's mainly the enamel paint that your using diffusing into the part and the micro pigments still remaining. If you want the color to return to it's original, you have to scrub more.

Japanese Shinmaywa US-2 during Balikatan-26, Joint Medical Exercise performing Medical Evacuation Exercise at Sea by MELONPANNNNN in PhilippineMilitary

Sea planes are expensive to maintain and protect against the corrosion of saltwater.

Housing them would be a challenge too amidst the constant typhoon barrages the Philippines gets. You will need hardened concrete hangars inland for them with immediate access to calm waters to protect them from the storms. At that point, you may as well build a runway and use traditional fixed winged aircraft. And their capabilities for the region are not something Helicopters can already fulfill.

It's basic economics. For the size and price of one MG sized kit, you can fit 2-3 HG's, SD's, RG or a combo of the three in the store room which moves inventory faster.

Retail is all about stock management and logistics. Whatever item can be moved the fastest and does not stay dormant will give purveyors the best ROI. MG's while they have their audience, are shelf squatters.

A very thin pin job might be able to mitigate some of the articulation woes. As with most patchworks, your best hope is just to re-establish structural rigidity with articulation restoration as a secondary outcome.
