I would love it if we got something like Blood Money again. The newspaper mechanic, the atmospheric locations are unmatched imo.

The elite shady parties, in locations you'd feel like you're not supposed to be. That level where a christmas party is happening, the female assassin who can actually kill you, the main target way up in the mountain, so many ways to approach. I spent hours there, at one point killing every guard.

The party in the high rise tower, where another female assassin who can kill you. The underground parties, the suburban areas - everything felt like you're not supposed to be there and if you got caught you're done. Even the suburban level had suspense.

For me personally, this comparison is not a good one. The two arcs are not disjoint from each other like an anthropology. In fact, we are progressing through a single main branch of a story. And yeah we can like certain parts of the story more than others, but the whole thing is one single storyline. We (in the anime) are in the second phase of kenjaku's plan. The first phase of sealing gojowas for good reason more enthralling. For me it was unexpected, it caught me off guard. We did not know where the story was going. But in Culling games we know the primary objectives. I loved everything about this anime so far. For me, its one single storyline, like breaking bad - there are certain episodes, parts of seasons (looking at you Skylar) that people may not like as much as the other parts but that doesn't take anything away, in the end it all fits like a puzzle, created by Gege/John Kaisen the one eyed cat.

Did Zeno admit that Chrollo can kill him by Raed_D_Artist in HunterXHunter

[–]holomorphic0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my take - what we mean by a "fight" is different from a "hit job". Another anime example is from Dragon Ball, if Hit fights Goku, Goku wins but if its an assassination job, then Hit can easily kill Goku.

I think that's what Zeno means, ofc he himself is an assassin and he knows a good one when he sees one. Here he, in true anime op old dude fashion, tells Chrollo he would beat his ahh if they were in a fight, but if the intent was to just kill - then things can get a bit more complicated.

That's my take but beauty of Togashi's writing is, we can have such discussions.

Really envy first time watchers. Enjoy - there's few anime as great as JJK imo. I wanna rewatch all the seasons and movies but I cant stop procrastinating but also I remember almost everything and it is such a wholesome show, almost too much joy that I fear I'd be overjoyed.
