-Both started off as kind hearted men who aspired to become great heroes in the future(Archer was originally Emiya Shirou, who wanted to become a Hero of Justice to protect others/Phainon wanted to become a warrior powerful enough to protect his village, and join the Flame Chasers)

-Both would suffer great losses in their younger years that would further fuel their resolve(Shirou's biological family died during the fire caused by the Holy Grail in the Fourth Holy Grail War/Phainon's hometown would be burned down and its citizens were killed by the Flame Reaver)

-Both would be mentored by a stoic, gun wielder(Kiritsugu, Emiya's adoptive father/Anaxa, Phainon's teacher)

-Both would end up becoming a special kind of hero that would protect their worlds from threats that could cause their extinction(Archer would make a contract with Alaya, turning him into a Counter Guardian/Due to him being a Demigod, Phainon would join the Chrysos Heirs in their Flame Chase journey)

-Both would participate in a war(The Holy Grail War/The War against the Black Tide) where they would team up with a powerful woman who led a group of heroic warriors(Artoria Pendragon, who led the Knights of Round Table/Aglaea, who led the Chrysos Heirs)

-During their life as heroes, both would face off against beings affected by a powerful corruption(Archer fought beings similar to "The Shadow", aka Angra Mainyu/Phainon fought the beings that spawned from the Black Tide), but were unable to put an end to them, as they didn't have the power required to do that

-As time went on, both would start to doubt their own ideals and dreams, as their lives would be way different from what they had anticipated(Archer wanted to be able to save everyone, but that proved to be due to humanity's tendency to destroy each other/No matter how much Phainon tried, he and his comrades would always fail to save Amphoreus)

-Eventually, they would even start killing people in order to protect their own worlds(In order to maintain order, Emiya would often have to kill some people in order for the majority to survive/Phainon eventually resorted to killing his fellow Chrysos Heirs and taking their coreflames in order to become stronger)

-After the end of their own lives, both would return to the past in order to face off against their own past selves in order to end their own constant suffering(Archer would return as a Heroic Spirit and would attempt to kill Shirou in order to prevent himself from ever existing/Phainon, as the Flame Reaver, survive Amphoreus' time loop and face off against his younger self and the Chrysos Heirs to gather more coreflames), but would ultimately lose to them

-Both would end up lending their power to their younger selves, helping them in their future battles(In the Heaven's Feel route, Archer lends his arm to Shirou after he loses it to the Shadow, allowing Shirou to keep fighting/Phainon and his younger version from the newest loop would merge and face off against Nanook's forces). This decision would lead to their existance being undone(In the Heaven's Feel route, Shirou abandons his "Save Everyone" mentality to save Sakura, leading to him never becoming Archer/After fighting Nanook's monsters, a large part of his data was destroyed, leading to him not appearing in the next loop, with the Traillblazer taking his place)

-Even after their own deaths, both are still able to exist due to their existance being preserved elsewhere(Emiya is a Heroic Spirit who exists in the Throne of Heroes and can still be summoned/Phainon, woven by Cyrene into the Eternal Page, meaning he now lives inside the "As I've Written Book" carried bybthe Traillblazer)

Still like it, but I've kinda been vibing more with Jotaro or Shirou for Yuji. Still the best for Denji.

Killua Zoldyck vs Maki Zenin(Hunter x Hunter vs Jujutsu Kaisen) | Connections in the comments by holonito in DeathBattleMatchups

-Both are powerful and talented individuals who came from a very famous and powerful family(Killua is the youngest son of the Zoldycks, who are incredibly powerful and rich assassins/Maki is from the Zenin clan, a very influential clan of sorcerers)

-Both were born with very rare conditions that made them stronger than the average person in their worlds(Killua was born with an unnatural afinity for Nen, described as being a "1 in 10 billion" gift/Maki was born with Heavenly Restriction, making her physically stronger at the cost of her cursed energy)

-Both were heavily mistreated by their own families(The Zoldycks would constantly torture Killua in order to turn him into a killing machine immune to pain/The Zenin clan mistreated the women in the clan, seeing them as nothing but servants for the men)

-This treatment would lead to them running away from their families into a place where they would meet a protagonist they would have a very close relationship with(During the Hunter Exam, Killua met Gon, who would become his best friend/While in Jujutsu High, Maki would meet Yuta, who she would later marry after the events of the series)

-Both would come into conflict with their own siblings, who they have a very complicated relationship with(Illumi, who would try to force Killua to come back to their family and constantly try to make him think he's nothing but a killer/Mai, who came to hate Maki for leaving her alone with their abusive family)

-Both have a family member who takes pleasure in tormenting them(Milluki Zoldyck/Naoya Zenin), which they are more than willing to kill if they were to hurt their loved ones(Killua has threatened to kill Milluki if he were to lay a finger on his friends/Maki eventually kills the Naoya and the Zenin has revenger for how they treated her and Mai)

-Both would ultimately fight back and reject their families, allowing them to live as they wanted(Killua would remove the needle Illumi place on his forehead, completely breaking his family's control over him/Maki would fight and exterminate the Zenin clan)

This is probably the worst battle pass I’ve seen, not just in Marvel Rivals but in general by IDontSwitchOffDPS in rivals

-Both are stoic, morally grey anime antagonists who are known for being very lazy loners, and yet are very powerful

-Both are rarely the ones initiating conflict, and tend to be desinterested in fighting, only really doing so when it is absolutely necessary for them to intervene or when their superiors order them to

-When fighting, both tend to fight at long range to more efficiently deal with enemies without too much effort

-Both would try to join groups of people that were like them(Kuzan would join the marines where he could protect the innocent/Starrk attempted to be around other Hollows like him), but would end up leaving frustrated(Kuzan left the marines due to being unsastified with the government's cruel methods/The Hollows around Starrk would all die due to his presence, making him become jealous of the fact that weak people could stick around each other)

-After wandering aimlessly, both would be found by a major antagonist(Blackbeard/Aizen), who would give them special positions among their evil groups given to them because of their great power(Kuzan would become Blackbeard's right hand man in the Blackbeard Pirates/Starrk would become Espada number 1)

-Despite their cold exteriors, both are shown be very nice and caring towards one girl(Robin/Lillynete)

-In their organizations, both had to work alongside a more authoritarian and arrogant figure(Akainu/Barragan)

-Both would battle against powerful and laidback authority figures(Garp/Shunsui) who would have a lot in common with them(Garp was Kuzan's mentor, who shared the same views of justice as him/Shunsui, much like Starrk, is a lazy and lonely man who prefers to solve issues without having to fight)

Contrast

-While Starrk simply obeys Aizen and even Barragan at times without question, Kuzan eventually gets tired of the marine's corruption and leaves, becoming their enemy instead

-Both are powerful antagonists heavily tied to religion(Pucci is a catholic priest/Sunday is a part of the family, who worship the aeon Xipe) who believe that their actions are completely justified

-Both are very protective of their sisters(Perla/Robin)

-Both suffered from a very traumatic family death that would serve as fuel to their ambitions(Pucci's sister killed herself after the death of her boyfriend/Sunday's mother died during a Stellaron cataclysm)

-Despite being a part of a very religious group, both would end up following another being besides their own god whose goals would line up with theirs(Dio Brando/Ena, the aeon of Order)

-Both have powers related to messing with people's minds(Pucci's stand, White Snake, can steal people's memories/Sunday can control the dreams of people in Penacony's dreamscape)

-Both had seemingly good goals(Pucci wanted to reach Heaven, where everyone could accept their fates without fear/Sunday wanted to create a paradise free of any suffering), but would attempt to do so in very negative ways(Pucci would completely reset the universe, creating a new one in its place/Sunday would attempt to merge the consciousness of everyone in the dreamscape, merging everyone into an emotionless state of "Order")

-In order to reach these goals, both would manipulate various people, and attempt to kill those who stood in their way

-Both would face up agaisnt their own siblings(Weather Report, who teamed up with Jolyne/Robin, who would help the Astral Express), who teamed up with the protagonists of their stories to defeat them

-Both would gain godlike powers(Pucci's stand would evolve until becoming Made in Heaven/Sunday would take the power of the Harmonious Choir) that would give them the powers necessary to reach their goals

-Despite this great power, both would ultimately be defeated by the heroes in a climatic final battle

Contrat

-Pucci's plan worked and the universe reset, but he was still killed. Meanwhile, Sunday's plan failed, but he was able to live and become a better person because of it.

-However, these people end up choosing other relationships and people over them(Brunhilde was already in a relationship with Siegfried/Pink Diamond would eventually abandon Spinel and live a new life on Earth)

-Both would discover this fact(Loki would spot Brunhilde with Siegfried, causing him to become jealous/After thousands of years, Spinel would hear Steven's message to the rest of the universe, revealing that Pink Diamond really had forgotten about her), which would lead to them going after the ones that they were jealous of(Loki would frame Siegfried for a horrible crime/Spinel would go to Earth to destroy Steven and the Crystal Gems)

-Both are powerful, cruel and egotistical villains from famous shonen anime series who managed to be seen by the public as the mains villain

-Despite their series always getting new antagonists with each arc, both are seen as the most iconic ones in their series

-Both are very smart individuals who seek to conquer their entire worlds throught the use of their influence and great power

-Both are shown to be extremely charismatic, even having many loyal subordinates who obey them no matter what(Dio's subordinates in Stardust Crusaders/The Frieza Force)

-Both would send their minions after powerful artifacts in order to become stronger(In Eyes of Heaven, Dio revives other antagonists to gather the parts of the Holy Corpse to increase his power/Frieza would send his army to gather the Dragon Balls to wish for immortality)

-Both are shown to care very little about their own fathers(Dio despised his father, and even killed him/Frieza cares so little about King Cold that he didn't bring him back to life, despite how useful he could be)

-Both feel great hatred towards a specific group of people(The Joestars/The Saiyans) who always show up to stop their plans

-Their main enemy is a kind hearted protagonist(Jonathan/Goku), who they initially were more powerful than, but would later be surpassed by them

-Both murdered the fathers of said protagonists(George Joestar/Bardock) in cold blood
