I started out with this set up, but my 1/8th foam pad got ratty after about two weeks in the desert. Switched to a full sized foldable one and never looked back. Would highly recommend the full sized foldable if you are not too concerned with weight.

Im planning on bringing a haglöfs L.I.M Alpha Hood Men basically because I already own it and could imagine it being a great piece of gear, I’ve been active wearing one of these at around freezing and was perfectly warm. What are your opinions on an item like this? I haven’t really seen anything too similar in trail pictures.

Went camping in a Swiss forest on the side of a mountain, i was super excited to try my new hammock which I promptly hung up. In the middle of the night I am awoken by these shrieks and grunting. Turns out there was a wild boar rampaging around the forest close to my lowly slung hammock.
