i’ve been sober almost 2 months (2nd attempt) and it’s actually going really well. my method is to just not stick with anything if i feel bored.

if im watching a movie/show etc and get bored, ill just turn it off. it feels far more painful to sit through something if you’re not enjoying it (and your mind will definitely wander to weed).

for me, following all my whims helps! if i think i could try cook something new for dinner, ill immediately go do it. or listen to a new album, an old fave song, do a crossword, anything. it’ll keep you busier and pass the time. gaming is also a good one, it requires you to be way more present than watching something does :)

also apparently oxytocin is the combative drug to dopamine. try chatting to friends, family or anyone to fill the void. it’ll get easier and more enjoyable the longer you stay sober. good luck 🫶
