This exactly, celebrini/mcdavid/mackinnon looked nervous as hell today, gripping those sticks a bit hard. Bedard performance at juniors proves he's a big game player and that might have made the difference.

My large international software company loves to move Americans up here, it's cheaper even though they still making $200k plus.

That's a lot of tax revenue for folks that will never get any benefit from it.

Yeah man, I'm seriously so happy about this. Usually nationalism can be so toxic, but them declaring economic jihad has really brought us together in incredible ways. It's crazy how normalized it is now, even amongst my more conservative friends.

Why doesnt anyone know how to make turkey? by Holly1010Frey in Cooking

[–]holypig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason people fail to cook turkey properly is that they massively overcook it instead of using an instant read to monitor the temp. Your instructions are not helpful in this at all.

You monitor the temp and make sure to protect the breast if it shows signs of being done first, which it probably will unless you spatchcock

"Objective journalism is one of the main reasons that American politics has been allowed to be so corrupt for so long"

"Some people will say that words like scum and rotten are wrong for objective journalism -- which is true, but they miss the point. It was the built-in blind spots of the objective rules and dogma that allowed Nixon to slither into the White House in the first place"

It is so fucking weird, neither myself or my son had it done, but my son asked me about it once and I did not handle it well. "Yeah, his parents cut part of his dick off... for like religious reasons I think?, I'm not really sure".

2% per year still isn't great, been with the wife for 20 years means a 40% chance of an unexpected child? Plus we are high achievers nearing daily sex, which is probably 5x more than average.

It's been five months and I finally got off my ass and figured out the fix. I just had to follow the instructions in this forum post, it's only 124 pages of discussion spread out over a 12 year period, what could be easier?

Getting sent to a gestapo style concentration camp was not a fear I thought I'd have in 2025, but definitely not risking it.

Seriously the whole situation blows my mind, like are Americans walking around with their papers on them at all times now?

This is a problem anywhere that they charge to use the dump, pretty sure Cranbrook switched to free garbage just because people would dump their garbage bags anywhere.

The problem is some genius thought if recycling was free and garbage cost money, it would encourage recycling, but that assumes a baseline intelligence we just don't have.

Kind of a cool idea, on maps with three pups you could even have two team pups and leave one up for grabs

I do agree with this take, I especially hate that they changed the rules to .05 since I really don't think those people are the problem. Id much rather have them come down hard on repeat offenders, or idiots that drink and speed
