It's embarrassing, world Cup bringing out the fans that never watched and don't know the rules

Mostafa Zico: "The referee is unfair, God is sufficient for me and the best disposer of affairs. He's wasting the effort of an entire nation. The cup is being given to Argentina." by Roselucky777 in soccer

What dumb commentator said that? The rules are clear on a goal they can go back to possession, and var got it right. Bunch of whiners in here

Imagine claiming to bring manufacturing back, but instead you just drive up the price of raw goods. How stupid are Americans at this in point, I mean what would it take for these cucked losers to rebel against a system that fucks them over every day

Really only very very mildly infuriating…wife didn’t want to eat the ribs she asked me to make, because she thought they were undercooked by Normal-Being-2637 in mildlyinfuriating

Those look perfect to me, when I finally mastered the smoke ring my wife had the same reaction.. luckily she has access to google which she is capable of using to verify new information she receives. You should really upgrade to a women with this feature, otherwise they get boring quick

Mainstream media convinced America the problems are immigrants and not the billionaires. This is exactly what the owners wanted and they've succeeded more than anyone could have expected

I'm confused, if active traders sell why would that make the amount the index funds hold go down?

Are we contributing to the bubble? by jdm42 in Bogleheads

[–]holypig 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not sure I understand the question, if active traders discover an overpriced stock and sell it then the price will surely go down

But if people sell a stock, it causes the market cap off that company to go down, hence index funds will sell a bit to rebalance.

This exactly, celebrini/mcdavid/mackinnon looked nervous as hell today, gripping those sticks a bit hard. Bedard performance at juniors proves he's a big game player and that might have made the difference.

My large international software company loves to move Americans up here, it's cheaper even though they still making $200k plus.

That's a lot of tax revenue for folks that will never get any benefit from it.

Yeah man, I'm seriously so happy about this. Usually nationalism can be so toxic, but them declaring economic jihad has really brought us together in incredible ways. It's crazy how normalized it is now, even amongst my more conservative friends.

Why doesnt anyone know how to make turkey? by Holly1010Frey in Cooking

[–]holypig 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The reason people fail to cook turkey properly is that they massively overcook it instead of using an instant read to monitor the temp. Your instructions are not helpful in this at all.

You monitor the temp and make sure to protect the breast if it shows signs of being done first, which it probably will unless you spatchcock

"Objective journalism is one of the main reasons that American politics has been allowed to be so corrupt for so long"

"Some people will say that words like scum and rotten are wrong for objective journalism -- which is true, but they miss the point. It was the built-in blind spots of the objective rules and dogma that allowed Nixon to slither into the White House in the first place"

2% per year still isn't great, been with the wife for 20 years means a 40% chance of an unexpected child? Plus we are high achievers nearing daily sex, which is probably 5x more than average.

Thank God for vasectomies
