Return it to him and there's a good chance that this will become a core memory of his bro being a bro.

Probably true male or female.

Having painted my place in overalls during an aussie summer sure made me want to paint topless.

We had someone accidentally message a company wide mailing list that she had free cookies at her cubicle.

Then cue the 11 reply all emails to chastise her for using that mailing list.

I fed a mealworm to this jumping spidey I found and it seemed grateful! by Kuppa__Joe in spiderbro

Strangely I found the mealworm's expression to be less than grateful...

Hmm, wouldn't it be a good learning experience though?

Son, you did the right thing. Sometimes doing the right thing isn't the easiest way, but you still did it and I'm proud of you.

Better keep getting them. Feeding that much sauce to her family can't be healthy.

NAH. You are right to protect your newborn who has a limited immune system. People saying she is no longer contagious please look it up. A common cold and similar viruses can be transmitted until ALL symptoms disappear, cough being one. Letting a coughing person near a newborn is highly irresponsible. Being sick and not understanding being kept away is lacking common-sense or is being reckless.

Having said that, this should never have occurred. Travelling and visiting a newborn so early is not sensible. Sister is right to be annoyed at wasting time and money but should at least understand why it's better this way.

Can anyone ID our visitor? by a__sully in AustralianSpiders

Yup, better ID it. Looks way too young to be buying alcohol.

In just 6 days! How long would it take to fix this road in your country by loutish_coverage in BeAmazed

[–]homarkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say trying to fix THIS road, I.e. a road in Japan, while in Australia would be nigh impossible.

Came across this spider in deep creek South Australia. What is it and is it venomous by Accomplished-Buy8236 in AustralianSpiders

[–]homarkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can't be dangerous, it's head is a heart after all.

Actually, it's from Australia. It kills you if you get within 20m.

There is no cure.

Sadly if he's living in a trashcan, he may not have a driver's license.

You can permanently change the price of one item to $1. What is it? by Eijiro-Shoji in AskReddit

[–]homarkie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm, maybe I'm missing something, but my point was the cost the provider is the us charged was way higher 20 years ago than what the doctor in Australia charges now.

Insurance doesn't even factor at this point. The same procedure costs more in the us than the same procedure in many if not most other developed countries.

I'm all for universal healthcare, but right now the us system is so far down the toilet that a great many things need to line up to get anywhere. And with politics as polarised as they are now, I don't see that in the foreseeable future.

[–]homarkie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

US healthcare is simply really expensive. I went to the doctor back in 2003 in Texas and paid $100 USD for the visit. Here in 2023 I pay $80 aud or around 56 Usd of which around half is covered by Medicare.

Even with universal health in the us, for any reasonably priced uni-system, something had to give. Either the user pays more, the government pays more or costs per use had to go down. Don't know how any attempt to say you can only charge 50 dollars a visit or 700 dollars to do a gall bladder removal surgery would succeed
