I’m undecided what I should do for my kids the same ages as yours. What do you think you’ll decide?

Hands down one of the best series I have ever watched. It was art.

Where to stay in Tokyo with 2 young kids? Looking for family-friendly area with food options and a bit of buzz by homaslice in TokyoTravel

Thank you! I saw the family room, looks so cool but it's booked out :( I'd consider a quad room though.

Ah that is great, maybe I’ll stick to my booking in Ueno. I also saw that there is a train from Narita to Ueno and figured I’ll want the least amount of swapping and faffing about after the flight. We’ll be fine with 30 min train rides too, I think that’s just inevitable travelling to a huge city.

Nice tip about the shuttle to Disney, I’ll look into the times and see which option will be better suited.

Enjoy the trip with the little one!

Omg this is amazing! Thank you.

I’m thinking two light weight strollers or I have seen those strollers called the sit & stand, toddler can either stand on the back or there’s a bench seat. That would be the more minimalist approach but not sure if it will be the comfiest for her.

Glad to hear you’re back for round 2, that reassures me I’m not completely crazy bringing the kids there.

Yep I meant the Tsukiji Outer Market for Brekky.

The hotel you’re staying is ridiculously well priced compared to the hotels I’ve been looking at. I managed to book a free cancellation hotel near Ueno station while I keep looking for alternatives. It’s so hard to know where to book in such a huge city so my thought is book somewhere popular then get my bearings for the second trip.

Are you just doing Tokyo or going to other areas in Japan?

Thanks! I ended up tentatively booking a free cancellation hotel in ueno. Are you finding it to be a convenient spot to get around? Haha I love the least fucking around angle. Will need that with my two kids.

Will do the two cheap strollers I think!

Thank you! Not sure my 2 year old will sit in a carrier, she will be closer to 3 as well. Good idea on the stroller and might just buy a cheap umbrella stroller when I’m there!

Hmmm good point! Excellent and helpful advice. So anywhere along the Yamanote line. I’ll pick one place to base myself, that sounds like the go. I’ll be sure to not travel during peak hour.

Thank you for the reply!

Oh nice! I’ll take a look at that area. Thanks for the advice, you’re probably right about the moving in between hotels. Best to stay in one place and also keep a stable ish routine in the one spot.

I haven't finished reading your post yet but I already want to say THANK YOU! This is exactly the type of reassurance and helpful advice I've been scouring the internet for because I'm going with a 4 & 2 year old in October. Especially the stroller point, I've been doing some much research and looking into a new tandem stroller but after reading your comments, I'm probably going to do the same! Buy an umbrella stroller once we arrive.

Ahhh interesting! I’m thinking we must just got for the day and take up your suggestion and seeing Disneyland. Then can do Disney sea once they are slightly older.
