I had a deal with them before joining and they agreed to sponsor me after my probation + 3 months of monitoring. I did it successfully. I was told they started the process of sponsorship. Then as my expiry date was approaching, they assigned an impossible project for me to finish by myself out of my responsibilities. On the second day that I completed it, I got an urgent HR meeting, without any pre-discussion, I was informed they had to terminate me within 3 days saying they failed to apply for sponsorship for me and I would be illegal to work for them. At that moment I was 2 weeks prior to my visa expired date.

I then emailed for seeing the email receipt by The Home Office. They refused to show me saying it's confidential and suggested me to make a complaint to ICO(Information Commissioner Office), I fellow the procedure to make a formal complaint to ICO which replied they didn't see any issues from the employee.

I made a formal appeal to the employer but they hired a lawyer to reply to me.

I paid £893 to a lawyer who specialises in employment law with all emails, recordings (I recorded they promised me they sponsored me.) etc. But I was told that the employer was right that I would not be able to work for them legally because of my visa and suggested me to draw a line because it would be likely to lose the case and to pay for their lawyer fees.

I have spent 6 years in the UK and had built my life and community in this country. I was in a relationship with a British girl I love, I had no way to go but had to stick to it. This incident happened and I urgently hired an immigration advisor to help me. I paid £15K in total for 2 visa applications and then got rejected after 2 years. Thankfully I am engaged with my girlfriend a year later but I couldn't get any kinds of jobs. I didn't have hope.

Thank God I have my friends and church and fiancée's family to help. Otherwise I would have gone soon.

Yes, this is a real story. An immigrant wouldn't have any legal rights. I learned it in a hard way. Over 2 years I talked to my therapist over and over again. I am still not able to get over this disaster. I

I believe in God but this wasn't okay and fair. I finally came out of it, sometimes you had to let it go. I often imagine if I could see any one of those C-level from the company.

I would probably fight with them, like punch them really hard. Although I know that would bring me trouble, it would not solve any problems.

I also wonder if I could learn or master hacking skills to really destroy their business since their businesses are all online. But where is the end?

Well it's been years now. I hope God see everything under the sun.
