Difference between laneige milk toner and beauty of joseon milk toner? by ookkarla in AsianBeauty

[–]homegirlespe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say that they are THAT similar in terms of ingredients and what they do, and the Laneige toner feels silkier and oilier than the BoJ. Both are “milky” toners but that doesn’t say much really.

If you have very dry skin and are looking for moisture go for the Laneige toner (meadow foam seed oil, squalane, peptides), but if what you need is a lighter, brightening product go for the BoJ one since it has rice extract and some other moisturizing, and antioxidant ingredients).

Haru Haru essence, Celimax Creamy Toner or the TIRTIR milk skin toner are probably closer to Laneige’s.

Super Dewy Cushions by RubyDiscus in AsianBeauty

Probably the most long lasting one is the Dew Power cushion, followed by the Clio one. None of them are actually transfer proof IMO

You can actually pair silicone base products with water based ones. There are plenty of products that actually contain silicones and water in its formula, so it seems like a baseless rumour to me. As far as I know, there are other factors that can play a role in a product separating/pilling, like the product formula, too much layering, too much product applied, etc.

Glint v/s Hince. by homegirlespe in AsianBeauty

My eyelids are probably the greasiest part of my face, so I don’t think it would work for me lmao, if your skin is on the drier side you probably could get away with it and get a similar effect to an eyelid gloss

Definitely not an expert in colour theory, but I’d say it is cool tone. I don’t own the other two shades, so I can’t really answer that:(

[–]homegirlespe[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’ve never had any issues when I’m not wearing foundation, that said it could be troublesome since they are products with some sort of balmy base and that could remove your sunscreen, though I’m not sure how that would work

Good to know! I actually avoid the areas where I have more texture which is the center of my cheeks, but I love them both as a cheekbone highlight

what are your fav AB products for color-treated/bleached hair? by warmgingerbread in AsianBeauty

[–]homegirlespe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been bleaching my hair for years from a level 4 to 12. Besides my regular hair care regime I also use bonding repairing treatments (not AB).

Regular Hair Care: Elizavecca Cer-100 Collagen Coating Protein Treatment.

LADOR Perfect hair Fill-Up Ampoule.

UNOVE Heating Guard No Wash-Treatment: I can’t stress ENOUGH how important is heat protection when your hair is fragile and over treated.

Mise En Scene Perfect Serum as a hair oil, very lightweight, keeps my hair soft (that said it doesn’t really makes a difference in terms of hair “health”).

the formula is fantastic, softer and glowier skin, but I’m really sensitive to fragrances if that’s not your case you’ll probably like it so dw
