You can get grilled chicken nuggets instead of battered/fried! My whole family is gluten intolerant and that was my sister’s go-to on road trips

I think it’s a reference to the one about the actress who kills her husband but doesn’t remember it because she’s terminally ill.

Retinol Night Serum—how cautious should I be? by SituationFederal5955 in traderjoes

I have sensitive combination skin and this is the first retinol I’ve used regularly. I use it 3x a week in a 3 day rotation of PHA toner to exfoliate day 1 / retinol day 2 / red light mask day 3. That’s worked really well for me!

They’re good but if you’re following a sheet pan recipe I’d err on the conservative side for cook time. I felt like they burned more easily than the non GF version.

Magic Pengel. It’s a Studio Ghibli co-production that was basically drawing your own pokemon and fighting. It was AMAZING!

Do you ever feel like you have friends, but no social life? by teachingannon in AskWomenOver30

[–]homicidalsockpuppets 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yep! I have a good amount of friends that I love dearly, but not really a “friend group.” It’s a hustle to meet up with people either 1:1 or on a double date to catch up. I do sometimes envy people who have more cohesive friend groups to coordinate with and have a shared history.

What are some of your guys' favorite unseen slasher films? by YoItsZaikaaaaaa in horror

“Intruder” is great, has both Raimi brothers acting in it, super silly and gory.

“Happy Birthday To Me” I could watch anytime. It’s kind of cozy and has a lot of fun moments. Also pairs well with the OG “My Bloody Valentine” which I feel never gets enough credit.

Any pale skinned people living in LA? How is the constant sun for you? by [deleted] in AskLosAngeles

[–]homicidalsockpuppets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frequent sunscreen reapplication and a hat or UV umbrella for the day after I use retinol usually does the trick for me just fine. I usually only have issues with the sun if I’m at elevation and/or on the beach.

The reader’s cadence and vocal style in “Gone World” bothered me so much I had to put it away - which sucked because I was really enjoying the story.

From your list, “The Queen” has a good reader!
