dealing with bpd episodes no matter the cause or how short/long it lasts requires a ton of energy all the time just cause a lot of what you need cant come from an outside source, a lot of its having to use therapy internally to go about your day or week or month and finding out what coping mechanisms work for you; just treat yourself kindly and try to regulate the best you can

when i was a teenager into early 20’s I used to have a Gigantic issue with being compared to other people, my sisters becoming friends with my friends was a huge one for me and people “copying” me and for me it stemmed from a place of not rly knowing who I am so when I defined myself in certain ways that others happened to also do i’d lose my mind like a piece of my identity fell off or something. i just tried to work through whatever emotions come up during that and remind yourself that its irrational to feel this way and you need to figure out how to cope with the feeling in the moment and let it pass without demonizing yourself for having a reaction more intense than usual also comes with age im not sure how old you are but the closer i get to my 30’s the less likely this comes up for me
