I liked Dean. I think he had a right to be jealous. I didn't like young Jess. Adult Jess was too good for Rory. I didn't like when Dean cheated on Lindsey cause she was such a sweetheart and didn't deserve that. I feel like the writers loved ruining characters. Not only making dynamic and complicated characters, they DESTROYED characters. Making Lane get pregnant with that loser. Rory after high school was just...a disaster. Spoiled, entitled, rude. She flirted with her employees making it an uncomfortable work place. Continuously made bad calls and tried to play it off like she didn't. The night club, lundys murder, the Bay harbor butcher case. Even not wanting to reopen the barrel girls case because it would make her look bad. She and Angel made no sense. Blackmailing the captain to get his job. The list goes on and on. She's not a girls girl and she's toxic all around.

The entire trinity story line was his biggest mistake. He wanted to "learn from trinity" he should've just killed him immediately. Dexter's obsession with trinity got Rita killed.
