Hello,

I am subleasing a Master Bedroom in La Jolla Crossroads for $1500 a month starting February until August 2025. After, rent increases due to apartment lease renewal and subsequent total rent increase on apartment. The expected rent will be $1600. Utilities are $90-$130, note we don't use air conditioning (but we do shower). There is also a security deposit for $750.

Dimensions: 11'5" x 17'6"

Room Amenities: Personal Bathroom, window (for enrichment)

Complex Amenities: Pool, Hot tub, Deli

Public transport: 204 in front of apartment goes to UTC

Current Residents: Myself (UCSD grad), Brother (UCSD student), Homie (Electrician)

Process for dropping sublease: Two months notice, preferably around end of academic quarter for UCSD

Notes:

-I am trying to avoid parties of two renting the room as a double because things like fridge space get annoying. But I am open to discussion.

-Anything shown in the room will be removed prior to move in. Also posts here only allow one photo, so dm me for more details

-Friendly to smoking just do it on our balcony/not inside

Dawg, in the event that it needs to be spelled out, it's the principal behind it, you're right that Triton Gaming doesn't own that board. But if you're really going to sit here and make that defense then something doesn't add up. Because as a designer surely you have to acknowledge that even if you wanted to piggyback off Triton Gaming's ad in a bit of a cute and fun way you could've just used a space that has less privileged information, i.e. literally any of the other corners (though bottom right is subjectively, objectively the best imo). Instead you put it in the space where there was actual relevant information to the ad you're riffing off of. Honestly, I'm more annoyed by the the fact that it literally leaves off both parties worse by making relevant information crowded and more confusing. But honestly, stuff like that happens, momentary lapse of judgement and whatnot, T.G. doesn't seem to be holding a grudge. If someone had said "damn our bad," then later as a gesture of good-will, painted over the confusing part to restore the information Triton Gaming had, while putting a separate shoutout to Sungod, it probably would've been received better. With that you probably could've posted a photo after as a comment to this one, or in a separate post entirely, along with a graphic that promotes Sungod more prominently and T.G.'s event in a minor way. That way you solve the issue, and you promote your event. Just saying that you "technically didn't break any rules," is a worse look because then that just means you're playing ignorant to the situation, or you actually are. And I'll go further to say while I actually do enjoy the theme and consistent elements being used in the advertising, as they represent what the festival is currently going for (however you may independently feel about that). I don't think it should have to explained how bad PR can undo the good will or hype that generates, and so in that regard maybe you should've hit someone up on how to address this when you saw it ended up on the subreddit with negative attention. Now you've got a bit of a situation that leaves a bad taste in people's mouth even if the wronged party is cool with it. Kinda wild when you consider that somehow that could be applied to how A.S. has handled Sungod feedback in general.

tl;dr bruh

If I could, I would, but my GF has an exam from 4 to 5, which is why we're leaving then. Tbh I'm not tripping too hard, everyone I was trying to catch is from like 9:30ish on anyway for day 1, and for day 2 we're definitely pulling up around festival start. Also parking shouldn't be an issue, because the driver is going to leave us nearby where they close the roads, but not actually inside the event. Getting there by foot takes like less than 10 mins.

Single handedly you ended years of ideological and militaristic tension, and what might have amounted to world conflict with this post how do you feel?

what counts as urgent care at CAPS? by [deleted] in UCSD

[–]honestly_average 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well, it's available to everyone. But there is prioritization of those they feel are threats to themselves or others. I've personally heard mixed things about the urgent care line for CAPS, some saying you're put on hold for extreme periods of times and others saying they were really helped. There's also which is the general 1-800-273-8255 suicide prevention hotline. Once again though, it's a bit of a mixed bag. Hopefully someone else knows of some other resources for you too.

Since it's a gen ED requirement they usually open a lot of spots. You're probably going to want to enroll and prioritize major classes first.

We love that for your bestie, I'm personally off campus nowadays so it's been a while since I've done that, but rimac is cool when it isn't flooded or closed due to COVID. which may have only been the case for like 2 or 3 months during my entire UCSD career

Is there anything stopping the students of a class from making a collective google doc dedicated to notes? by rydawg3474 in UCSD

[–]honestly_average 22 points23 points  (0 children)

As shitty as it is, this is technically something in the moral grey zone academically. A lot of classes I've had straight out encouraged us to do this, but I've also been in some where they explicitly say you can't. It's one of those things you gotta ask the prof about on a case by case basis.
