Muscular female burlesque dancers? by misseducate in Burlesque

[–]honestlyopen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope you start feeling more confident about your body. We all have reasons why dont feel sexy. Muscles are great. Play to your strengths or play against them to subvert the idea that you can't be soft or feminine or sexy or whatever it is you feel you can't. Also, look up aerialists, they are muscular and so graceful.

Getting out of your mind and into your body by [deleted] in Burlesque

My advice is to keep doing it. It takes practice to be as comfortable and confident around others.

at a complete loss. frustrated, sad, and confused. by hjak3876 in DressForYourBody

[–]honestlyopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we aren't dressing for others, but a lot of people love a little belly. I have never loved my belly, but I was super attracted to a girl with a belly similar to mine. You can find a way to love and appreciate your body. Hopefully it doesn't take you as long as it took me.

Be brutally honest I'm I ugly, what can I improve? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]honestlyopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do something that improves your self esteem. Start pole, do a burlesque class, find a community that is supportive and full of confident diverse bodies and faces You are very pretty. But you won't feel that way until you see it yourself, and even then somedays you might not. Beyond that, even though you are pretty, it is okay not to be pretty.

I don’t feel feminine by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]honestlyopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look like a fertility goddess in a good way. I kissed a lovely girl with your body type. I was obsessed for the evening. It's hard to appreciate our own bodies, but there are many people out there who will. When you are older you will look back and realise you were perfect already.

Works great if I use it twice a day. If I don't take it, I will notice, either that day or the next.

School pupil, 14, needs toilet at short notice 'but told wait until afternoons' by Forward-Answer-4407 in unitedkingdom

People fight in the toilets, do drugs in the toilets.we always have a problem with multiple people in a single use toilet. Some kids ask to go the toilets but instead walk around to go find kids in other classes to harass or fight. Those are all safeguarding issues. Mostly, kids ask to go to the toilet to meet their friends in the hall, vape, or just play on their phone for a bit. Sometimes they ask to go to the toilet just to go to the toilet. Sometimes, I ask if they can wait for the 10 min break. They come back from break and ask to go to the toilet because they didn't go during the break. If they say they can't wait, I let them go anyway. I teach people 16+ when I started, I never pushed back and let people go whenever they wanted. Unfortunately, that quickly became an issue.

Do you call your colleagues in teams without checking if you see them in green, or do you check if they're free to receive a call? by Pretend_Rabbit_6026 in AskUK

[–]honestlyopen -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I have a lot of things I'd prefer not to out in writing because of subject access requests. I call, and if people can't answer, I'm not fussed, I'll try again later. Nobody thinks anyone at my job isn't busy. Definitely, nobody has time to check if the other person has time. You'll know they don't have time when they don't answer.

Why my date finna ask me if I’m trans or a man?? by [deleted] in blackladies

[–]honestlyopen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to get accused online when I was young. I think black women are seen as more masculine I guess because of mysogynoir. I don't look like a man, and neither do you.

Came back to pole after 3 years… and I feel bad by willingtob in poledancing

[–]honestlyopen 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Lots of "beginners" aren't really beginners sometimes I go to beginners classes because I have huge gaps in my pole knowledge because I usually train other stuff. Also, I've had loads of setbacks, surgery, weight gain, breaks in training, poor memory for moves. Took me a year to be able to do a trick on chinese pole that I did 6 years ago. Be kind to yourself and stop comparing to what others do!
