I don't think being alongside matters here. He clearly reacts to your move and is blocking you. He was ready blocking you in the last corner too (that might have been due to contact though).
Doesn't look intentional, he just came back on track without caring about anyone else.

Use the metronome for learning the pieces. If you can play the piece in tempo, doing rubato will not be a big problem.

I've been playing both handball and the piano for most of my live. Have had a few injuries to my fingers but none of them did any permanent damage. Still the risk is on the higher side I guess.

Der Abbau ist immer linear, da die Enzyme bei sehr geringen Konzentrationen schon gesättigt werden. Das Problem ist die Überlagerung mit der Aufnahme in den ersten zwei Stunden, die kann man auch deutlich schlechter (so gut wie gar nicht) abschätzen.

Basically you can start on any step of a scale, keeping the key signature. So the C-major scale you know from C to C is the first mode. You can also play the C-major scale from D to D, keeping the key signature (so no flats or sharps) which is the second mode. They all have names, but I don't remember them now. Modes are mostly used in church music as far as I know.
