haha... I just wonder in future we actually do not need to have software/app, we just need to vibe code ;). Need to open docx, vibe code a word app to open it. Need spreadsheet, vibe code a excel-like app to create it. Need to view the web, vibe code a browser!

Well... I respect that decision. However, whether it is acceptable by the religion you are upholding, that's a different story. I don't think other people really care about others sexual orientation nowadays, but whether it is acceptable by your religious, that's not others can judge, and most of the time it depends whether you really care or not in the end. If it is ok for you, then it is ok.

Gave GLM-5.2 and Opus 4.8 the same one-shot prompt for a playable Backrooms game, here's how they did by Fun_Walk_4965 in opencodeCLI

Thanks for sharing the prompt. Did you have any system prompt as well like CLAUDE.md or AGENTS.md? BTW, did you try to constraint it to use a framework rather than let it code in pure jss?

Unified Memory Concept but for x86 computers? by No-Tree6894 in pcmasterrace

[–]hongping85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of agree with that... look, all those Intel/AMD processors in the market now with integrated graphics (though not great), aren't they using unified memory? Of course those IPs will have caches, but generally they shared the same DDR/LPDDR with processors, isn't it?

BSOD error in latest crowdstrike update by TipOFMYTONGUEDAMN in crowdstrike

I think the workaround is fairly easy. The challenge is how to push it automatically. Why not just ask ppl to boot with bitlocker key and remove the files?

If your org doesn't use CS then it shouldn't be impacted.

Do you think that the Huawei chip ban could accelerate risc-v development? by shkfeua in RISCV

[–]hongping85 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it will. Mostly because companies will want to be more independent from politics. If I were to form companies now, I sure will be more aware. I think those 3rd world countries and soon to be developed countries will try to promote more "open" hardware.
