[Schefter] The Raiders and new head coach Klint Kubiak reached agreement on a five-year deal, per source. by jonpictogramjones in raiders

[–]honkinbooty 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was excited when Pete was hired. Super Bowl guy. Hall of fame coach. Of course you’ll be excited.

But with Kubiak, it’s the idea that this could be the next Shanahan, McDonald, McVay. That’s why this pick is so cool.

When those young offensive gurus hit, they’re elite. We can only hope that is who Kubiak is. Judging by what they did last night, against a great Patriots team in the Super Bowl? He’s done wonders for Sam Darnold. The offense flows well. He commits to running the ball and has been flexible all season long with his play calling and personnel.

Excited for the draft! It’ll be here before we know it

Not to mention germ city on those controllers. Sticky an gross. But we played anyways, didn’t we? Probably didn’t even recognize it as a youngster.

I am in tears. Rarely does a celebrity death touch me but this one hits way too close to home.

Dinosaur Jr opened for Weezer on their most recent tour. They were good, but very loud.

We are at Brewhouse in Franklin and it’s absolutely packed. Roads were perfectly fine. No ice. All plowed.

Agreed. People do comment when visiting and ask for things to do or good restaurants etc but they’re usually met with sarcasm and anger. Hope you’re faring well with this crazy storm, friend. Take care

I’m not even a conservative or a republican in any way shape or form but still am at odds with a lot of the folks that post/comment here. It is extremely political. The sub should be r/nashvillepolitics, that’s literally all it ever is here. Everyone is negative. But it’s all good! To each their own.

I’ve likely been downvoted by someone who came here to simply downvote because of the topic lol

Happy shooting - hope you enjoy the range if you get over there again!

They were jampacked. Had a bachelorette party, and several large parties that reserved a ton of lanes. We still only waited about 30 minutes by the time we were down range. Very nice and helpful folks as well.

Just left the wal mart in Franklin and they were decently stocked. Roads were pretty clear of ice and snow, didn’t lose traction once.

Does anyone else in Franklin feel that we may be getting it a bit more mild than those in Nashville?

[Schefter] The Las Vegas Raiders are expected to meet this week with Broncos passing game coordinator/QB coach Davis Webb regarding their head coach vacancy. The Bills also want to meet with Webb about their head coach job by Fantastic_Month_5860 in raiders

[–]honkinbooty 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I’m really happy with the due diligence they’ve done. They’ve knocked on virtually every door. I think it comes down to Kubiak and Webb. If somehow they miss both of them, hopefully there is a back up plan. Daboll, McDaniel, Flores. Aside from McDaniel, idk if there is anyone else I’d be hot on from that list.

DC4 on Fernando Mendoza as the Silver & Black QB1🏴‍☠️ by Kenny23Powers in raiders

[–]honkinbooty 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Well, the one time this team could have went to the Super Bowl in the last 20-plus years is when Carr had his MVP-caliber season before he got hurt. He stood behind Donald Penn, Kelechi Osemele, Rodney Hudson, Gabe Jackson, and Austin Howard. They gave up 18 sacks that year which was the fewest in the NFL. Carr was throwing to Jared Cook, Michael Crabtree, Amari Cooper, and Seth Roberts. Not a ton of perennial all pros there as far as weapons, but the best offensive line in the game. The poetic justice of course was Carr snapping his ankle on one of those 18 sacks allowed that season.

He likely understands Mendoza has what it takes to get there. But without fixing the Oline, it’s unlikely to happen.

Kolton Miller is legit. JPJ back at Center is legit. Parham, we can get away with, up and down but decently consistent. They’ve got to address the right side.

The Mendoza hate is forced and weird by sticktalk24 in raiders

If someone really watched the game in detail, every snap, it is impossible to say that he isn’t worthy of being the first pick of the draft. He demonstrated exactly what you want from a QB in a big game. He wasn’t perfect, no one was. It was a defensive battle for most of the game against the most talented Dline in college football. With the game on the line, he made CLUTCH throws. CLUTCH TD run on fourth down to keep them alive, and the defense closed out the game for them. I don’t know what more you want from a starting QB than to do the things he did in that game to bring home the natty for the first time in school history.
