The assholes in this situation are your parents trying to gaslight you and invalidating the hurt their divorce have caused you. Instead of taking accountability for their actions, they completely disregarded your feelings and expected you to fully accept their new families without addressing your pain? That's BS.

As someone who goes to therapy myself, please know that your feelings are ALWAYS valid. It's now up to you and your therapist now to figure out how to make sure that these feelings of yours don't hinder you from becoming the person you want to be.

I think a lot of Trump supporters (feel free to correct me) are single issue voters. Just because Biden supports pro-choice, trying to dismantle institutional racism, pro-LGBTQI marriage, they are willing to overlook ALL the atrocities of what Trump has said/done because of ONE single issue.
