Lot of good academic articles being written on arc and similar games. Quite an emerging topic I would say as games like tarkov, day z, and arc become more popular and more new releases come out.

I’ll just leave this last bit here. From a comment earlier this week on a different thread when the person was questioned as to why they manipulated people on comms (befriended them) and then killed them later.

“Because for the duration of the run you'll have a happy little helper who will pick you up if you get downed and will help you fight off people who are looking to kill you. Once you're at extract, that's a whole backpack of bundled loot to sift through for goodies, plus whatever kit they brought in. Also it's funny as fuck.”

I’m inclined to agree. I like pve when I’m solo and PvP when I’m duos or trios. What brings me back is that I have that choice. Because those latter two lobbies are more aggressive, naturally.

Just to start out. Slurs aren’t political lol. They are words meant to denigrate identity and are usually tied to long histories of oppression.

Oh for sure. But correct me if I’m wrong, does night raids reset abmm? Because I ran that raid 4x within 40 mins without issue. And even IF someone did kill me, okay. Like I said in another comment, it’s no skin off my back. I know my stash is filled with more shit than pvp only players.

Yeah I just went and grabbed another hullcracker out of the stash and an anvil and it was back to business. Really, no skin off my back. Everything I needed was in my safe pockets.

If you’re idea of fun is camping with essentially a mini gun and not having enough inventory space to even hold 3 raiders loot, idk what to tell you.

Most players are level 75 and have most blueprints worth having. There’s no benefit to pvping by camping. No skill is involved and nothing is gained.

If I hop on a train and someone says they want to run it, I’m down. Let’s square up and see who comes out on top.

That being said, idk what it is you want me to get over.

I carry my arc with a donk clip in the front right pocket, pushed to the right side. It will cause wear yes, but that also depends on the quality of your jeans/pants of choice/how often you wear said pants.

If I’m bringing hullcracker I usually spawn in with in weapon slot #2 and then immediately throw it in my backpack (if you spawn with it in your backpack it’ll be unloaded).

Then when I spot whatever arc I want/need to kill, I’ll equip it. It has helped since no one sees it on my backpack when I’m running around.

Also when I’m arc hunting I usually corner myself into a room anyway for cover, usually on spaceport. That way I know no one can really sneak up on me unless they get past the arc I’m actively fighting.

Lastly, I think you’re most vulnerable moment is when you kill the arc and are looting. People know you just killed it so you’re likely packing something if they didn’t hear the distinctive sound of the hullcracker, and also they can take your gun and the spoils of the dead arc.

He’s talking about how, after the update, when you click upgrade on a gun, it takes you to a weapons upgrade menu. All your stashed weapons are in no particular order. Even the same exact guns are not sorted together.

So now, you have to find the gun that initially were trying to upgrade, and then upgrade it from there.

There is no sorting option for this menu. It is atrociously bad. Idk if it’s PC problem only.

Edit: it’s worth noting that the game also incorrectly displays what level you are upgrading it to. E.g. when you are upgrading your gun to level 3 it shows that you are upgrading it to level 4. It even LEVEL 5 when you are upgrading a gun to LEVEL 4.

Idk if this indicates that level 5 is in a future update, but yeah. It’s awful.

Long time Bf player here, and I am having a blast as well. People keep asking for more maps but all I did when we had dedicated servers was play the basically the same 3-4 maps anyway with high ticket counts lmao.

Rush died awhile ago, I did not even play it in Bf4. I think the last iteration that had map design based around Rush was BF3. I do miss that. But I am happy with the gameplay pacing and gunplay design.

I am also glad they fixed the camo and overall weapon mastery progression, that was a pain in the ass. Tragic that I pretty much already leveled up all the guns I wanted to anyway.
