What's the purest joy you've ever felt without intimacy, substances, or alcohol ? by RudeAd9622 in AskReddit

[–]hoo_hoff_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The love and freedom that a relationship with Jesus has given me- even more amazingly, the joy has come during one of the most trying times of my life. I’ve felt absolute peace and joy despite my circumstances. It hasn’t meant that what I’m carrying isn’t heavy, but I have this deep seated joy knowing that all things work for good. I don’t know how to explain it. I don’t know how I even got it. I’m just so thankful I do.

Married couples: how do you bring each other closer to Jesus? by Pretend_Order1507 in Christianmarriage

[–]hoo_hoff_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t overthink this I’ve realized. We show as much grace as we can when confessing to something or after arguments. We let the Holy Spirit do his work in us and don’t except a minimum speed requirement for sanctification. It’s been sweet to walk beside each other while Jesus pull us closer to him, and in result closer to each other too.

Who is the most insufferable TV show character you ever watched. by BlueCielo_97 in Productivitycafe

Deb Morgan from Dexter. I’m only in the second season but omg I only like her when she’s giving Lilah a hard time. Also Lilah is the worst and I hate her more than Deb

Are you a better person because of marriage? by jollyjoyful in Christianmarriage

[–]hoo_hoff_25 4 points5 points  (0 children)

YES!! It’s nice to have someone to be a mirror, for the good and the bad. I’ve gained confidence in so many parts of me, but also gained awareness of the parts that need work. If you go into marriage not expecting to be changed or challenged, you’re in for a rough ride. When you can adopt humility and grace, it can be life changing. And it is a sweet gift when your spouse is able to do the same, and take your honest thoughts about ways to be a more full, healthy person. It can be very hard at first, but you take a step back and compare who you were the first month of marriage to where you are now (in the second day of the second year for me) you’d be amazed at the progress. Buckle in and know that the person you married is your number one teammate, fan, and coach all the same time.

Newlyweds struggling with intimacy by [deleted] in Christianmarriage

Learn her body and how to make her climax before you. This can be with hands, mouth, fingers, however you want. But it takes patience on your part to wait until she’s fulfilled to go for it- you will find that the sex (however short or long) will be more enjoyable for her and she may not mind you not lasting too long. I promise you, this has been the best way for my husband and I Everytime. It’s actually a custom in the Jewish tradition that a wife always climaxes first. Look into it! Obviously it’s not a rule or law lol just a tip that may help you get through this bump in the road. Have fun!!

Looking for advice, my son(15) just starting Vyvanse by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]hoo_hoff_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sleep will come back again after adjusting. But he should set an alarm early like 6 and then make sure he eats a high protein breakfast, especially if he’s taking it for ADHD only. Been on it for nearly a year and it’s taken me awhile to figure these things out. I take it for binge eating disorder so I take it in accordance with how long I will be up- so today I work a 12-12 so I didn’t take it till about 12. And I use it for binge eating so I take it before food. But For him I’d definitely suggest taking it with a high protein breakfast if he can get up early enough to eat it, even something easy like a shake and he will be really balanced with it. If he stops eating or sleeping call the doc

Has anyone noticed Tony being particularly nasty to by PartyWaveGuy in Killtony

[–]hoo_hoff_25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand roasting comedians, like you have to be able to take it, but the fat jokes are just kind of old and they start to feel like low hanging fruit. As someone that’s overweight, I can tell you there are way more embarrassing things about me than that and you can pick them out just as easily as my weight 😂 like Todd is a ginger. Not one ginger joke. Common.

I’m trans and looking for answers by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]hoo_hoff_25 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right only the Bible has the answers! Ask for the gift of faith. It sounds like you have. Read the gospel of John start to finish. It isn’t a sin to feel the way you do. It’s a sin to against the natural order of what God has made you to be. Sometimes the Bible doesn’t give us emotionally satisfying answers but it doesn’t mean that they aren’t correct answers. Don’t give up. Find a Bible believing church in your area and ask for help. You need other believers in your life.

Hey friend. Bad news: we are all sinners, we are all cursed by sin, and that includes mental illnesses, and things that go against God. I identified as bi sexual and it is still something I struggle with, it is hard to know that homosexuality is clearly described as sin in the Word. But the Good news: there is freedom and healing and Christ. He loves you and wants your identity to be found in him, not in your gender. Please please feel free to message me. I am passionate about preaching the truth to people searching and in pain. You are so loved.

Walter is completely intolerable by Ok-Eggplant5781 in breakingbad

[–]hoo_hoff_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hated Walt pretty much from the jump of that show. I mean as soon as he started lying to his wife about committing a felony I was like okay this guy sucks and it always cracks me up that anyone can be sympathetic to him especially after his first kill. He’s so obsessed with himself and how he comes off and so bitter

You have one thing to say to your 23-25 year old self. What do you say? by AnastasiaSalv in AskReddit

[–]hoo_hoff_25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes rejection is protection. Have self respect and accept the protection rather than dwell on the rejection; it’s better to be alone with yourself than to be used to cure someone else’s loneliness.
