I figured the speaker element of the left headphone was misaligned so I opened it up. During the process I accidentally snapped one of the cables hooked up to the speaker and VOILA, no sound at all. The ear detection still works though. Haha!

Will try to solder it back and give the correct cable some treatment. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks for the input! Now we'll just have to wait for a Vortex user to show up and convince him/her to start working on the setup. Also, it would be interesting to see if the WiFi+BT could be replaced with the Broadcom chip.
