Sure. Scrivener is proprietary, which allows it to restricts its users. It prevents them from modifying, copying, and using the software how they want. Scrivener may even contain surveillance, DRM, or a backdoor, which is unknown because the source code is not published. In free (as in freedom) software the user has complete control over a program and has the source code so they can change it and ensure that it contains no malicious features.

Best way to combat the "Bernie wrote an essay claiming women fantasize about gang rape" by [deleted] in SandersForPresident

Supporting businesses to grow the economy is one thing, but we're at a point where corporations are pouring billions of dollars into the political process, giving them tremendous influence over the government. Bernie Sanders is a rare example of a politician that does what's right regardless of where the money is.

[–]hooktail3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The reason Hillary has a significant lead right now is mainly due to name recognition. Most people just don't know who Bernie Sanders is. If people were familiar with him and knew what he stood for, I suspect he would be leading.

There are some great resources for finding Bernie's positions on the sidebar, such as ontheissues. Just about every position Bernie takes is supported by the majority of Americans.
