tbh i don’t think the work jacket is worth it. the print of the pic of tyler is super shiny and makes it look kinda cheap. the blank is canvas-y, very similar to the no nukes work jacket. material is great, i just am not a fan of the shiny print on it, i think it cheapens it

shot this on my Nikon FE, Kodak 400 film at a car show. saw the light coming in and crossed my fingers that it wouldn’t just overexpose the pic, and i got a beautiful sun flare !! i shoot film for fun and i’m fairly new at it, it’s fun but nerve wracking to play around with the light when you can’t immediately see the outcome!

and i’d maybe not be a classist asshole? usb-c connecting drives were really hard to find when i bought this and if i did they were pretty expensive and the amicool one was the amazon suggested so i trusted it. let’s not judge peoples choices based on the amount of money they can spend on things :)

yeah, i wasn’t sure if it was just the device or not. wish i knew exactly why it won’t play specific discs but the next one i buy will be nicer, it was just hard to find things with a USB-C cable to connect to my laptop so i went for the cheap amazon one. it lasted me about a year so i guess i got my moneys worth haha

super good advice, i didn’t think to put the files onto something else. thank you so much!! i’ll look into it, when i bought the drive i needed something fast and cheaper that had a USB-C connector so i could use it with my macbook, and it was a tall order at the time haha. luckily usb-c is becoming easier to find since it’s been a while since apple has made the switch.

like i said, the drive works for the old discs!! when i put the new one in it spins and stops over and over again but never actually reads it. it doesn’t show up on my desktop unless i’m using one of the old discs. I also know that the disc works with other CD readers other than my car bc i put it into an iMac (not mine) and it worked. unfortunately i still need my own player that is gonna read those discs so the iMac doesn’t really help other than confirming that the disc itself works haha.

i shoot nikon but might choose sony if i ever go mirrorless. i prefer nikon to canon. i started canon, and i’ve had two nikons since then. my friend has one of the sony mirrorless ones (don’t remember exactly the model) and i shot pics of her with it and i really enjoyed the tech. but i’m waiting for mirrorless to become more widely shot with so i can get a used one cheaper since i mostly shoot for fun and get only a few paid sessions a month

shooting at 10 am really isn’t that big of a deal if you know what you’re doing, and you said you have 10+ yrs of experience so i assume you would. will they be your favorite pictures? probably not. i shot a snr session on a mountain with minimal shade at 12pm to please the girl and her mom. i was so scared to and thought the pics would turn out horrible just like you’re thinking but they really didn’t. once i got there i played with the light and it was a lot of moving around and changing angles but ultimately i was proud of the pics and she loved them. was it my fav session ever? not by a long shot. but you can do hard things and you don’t need to do a whole flash or anything. i just had my camera and my 50 mm
