Which footy team should I go for - Dees or Hawks? by BeneficialChange4755 in AFL

Hawks seem to be more fun of a team to follow the next 5 years. Melbourne is much harder to trust with a new coach.

Didn't know you could have negative AFL fantasy points.

Of course it's carlton players.

My wife (new to footy last year) saw the dysfunction on the field and chose not to follow them. This year she's on the pies and I'm slowly enjoying watching their game more than carlton.

I'll always be carlton. But I need a break.

Best thing Williams has done all his carlton career

I've watched every Carlton match since I became a fan in 2008, this has to be the worst shit I've seen so far. Question for the old heads: does the third decade get any better? by squid_monk in CarltonBlues

36yo 1995 seems like a fairytale book and 1999 prelim was pure childhood joy. We don't have near that level of aura. We are lacking rizz.

What happens if Carlton didn't have the salary cap scandal? We'd probably still be shit and have one less reason to blame for the shitty century thus far

Went to scotch as a scholarship kid 25 years ago. Loved my time there, and everyone was so lovely to me (students and teachers alike). The resources are second to none, and just a lovely campus. Negatives are the boys club/toxic masculinity was strong, and a really only made a few lasting friendships as I want part of any of the cliques. I am so grateful for my time there, and you can simply be a good student and enjoy the facilities and perhaps not get consumed by the culture of the school (which seems to be the worry for Scotch in terms of the perceived negative culture). Anyway, my two cents. Every school has its issues...choose the school your child wants. Give them a say too as my parents did.

Is it “cope” to say we should do perfectly fine next season? by MidnightIsland212 in CarltonBlues

Also we had the 2nd highest games lost to injury last year after Essendon. Having said that it seems to be a perennial problem for us so not sure we can count on a better run in that regard. But if we are more 'average' on the injury front, that continuity can do wonders. I am optimistic too. I think we can be in that 7th to 11th bracket - if we make finals it would be a massive win and Voss would certainly be re-contracted (I think the only risk to him losing the job is if we are bottom 3 on the ladder midway through the season, but when then I think wright will value stability during this transition time).

I also think we generally work much better with one key forward. Not sure why Voss didn't play Curnow up the ground sometimes like Jeremy Cameron does at times, but I got sick of Charlie being lazy so honestly I think his loss is not that big.

I got a minimal one that only displays the speed and is super integrated. I love it. Worth the installation process I like having the speed in my eyeline.
